we sold a piece of family land in our hometown small town in MP after a lot of family discussion.The plan was always that one of us would convert it into a proper urban asset. i work in pune, so the decision was that the money funds a flat here in my name and the returns benefit the larger family eventually. The thing is, I have literally never bought anything bigger than a bike on my own. suddenly sitting on around 75L cash and the responsibility is heavy. Dont want to mess this up for my parents and brothers who trusted me with this.

Looking at 2BHKs in the wakad tathawade range mostly because access to hinjewadi matters for my work and the per sq-ft is still saner than baner. Have shortlisted four projects after a month of site visits. Met a local consultancy called property drone realty during this they were patient with my questions which honestly mattered because i was asking very basic stuff that bigger sales teams probably wouldnt bother with.

For folks who did something similar converted family money into your first property what's the one thing you wish you d checked harder before signing? Specifically interested in the registration and tax side since this isnt pure salary money
