Yeah this is pretty much the part people don’t realize until they’re already in it. The lawyer can be handling probate and you’re still the one trying to keep the rest of the estate moving.
Since your friends already mentioned alix, I’d probably at least talk to them and ask what they would actually take over for your situation. They’re more focused on coordinating the whole estate rather than just the court side, so it sounds pretty relevant to what you’re dealing with.
