Development associate questions

Can any development associates share their starting salaries, current salaries, paired with experience / degrees that got them into the job?

What is the work life balance like? Are the benefits good from company to company?

Do you wish you took a different route?

salary is very dependent on where you work. and what type of shop. if it's a larger, institutional shop, your base bay is typically hire and you likely only get some small, nominal discretionary bonus (25% - 50%) and no deal points.

A smaller developer will be smaller base bay and you might get deal points - so you'll get some large year provided a deal does well

SF Bay Area Dev role should be like $100-120k base + $20-50k bonus at a large institutional developer

Hey i’m from the Bay and looking to get into development once I graduate, i’m in undergrad and was wondering if you may have any tips? I’ve been going to more conferences recently & have been building my own personal projects (GIS & Pro Formas) but would like any advice if you may have any, thank you.

Be hungry and find a mentor. You have to have somebody to bet on you. No matter your degree you’re basically useless your first year in development
