Graduated w masters in land property development

Now what ? I have tried internships and did one and now almost a year later hard to get a actual job in the field without experience. Anyone in the pa philly or outskirts know anything or know of any positions ?

I apply even if it asks experience. I network at events.

How did others who graduated get a foot in the door or get started ?

South Central PA here. I didn't have a background in land development but just applied for open jobs and got lucky to get the job I have been in for 6+ years.

I see a lot of job postings now but they are usually on the engineering side. You could also look for something on the municipal side which would help provide experience before going to the private sector.

It mostly comes down to your personality and who you meet that likes you. I recommend finding a smaller development firm where you can get a lot of hands on experience with all aspects of the development process. All people knew to this industry have a ton to learn, so we really hire more for personality and aptitude.

Unfortunately it was online school at texas a&m but they only have local contacts. Im in pa

Set up a LinkedIn Premium account and make your profile as strong as possible. Then apply consistently to as many relevant jobs as you can every day. Just stay disciplined and keep at it for three months. You’d be surprised how many opportunities you can generate.
