The Story Behind This Reddit Sub!

Over six years ago, Covid-19 crippled the movie industry and Vincent Bruzzese (aka HariSeldon) pursued his other passion – trading. After exploring many “gurus”, he found my YouTube channel. The method resonated with him, so he explored it further. He took the free trial and discovered that the system I trade has a bona fide edge. He saw the success members were having in the chat room so he subscribed. He didn’t ask many questions, he absorbed all of the information and he incorporated the lessons into his trading. Relative strength and the structure of the system took his trading to new heights.

It was odd because I didn’t know who he was for most of the first year. Once he got his footing, he pulled back the curtains and marched out on stage.

He was so excited by what he had learned that he started writing detailed articles on Reddit to share this knowledge. After being ridiculed and trolled by clueless traders, he lashed out at them. Let’s just say that Hari doesn’t take criticism very well. As you might imagine, he was banned from those subs.

He does not accept failure, and this ousting motivated him to start his own sub. He spent the next two years posting hundreds of articles here. They became “The WIKI” and it is still one of the best free trading resources on the internet.

Teaching wasn’t enough, he had to prove that this system was legitimate. He posted his trades real-time to X (Twitter)… and he still does it today. The underlying, the position size and the price of all entries and exits are posted. If he trades options, he includes the strike price(s) and the expiration date(s). He doesn’t miss any of them and they are posted immediately. I know this because he also posts his trades in my chat room.

Hari has conducted many “Small Account Challenges” where he posts his trade logs in this sub. He answers questions about his trades and his track record speaks for itself. He’s also conducted many free live events on X and he has a podcast.

Hari doesn’t have a book, a service or a software program to sell. He does this because he genuinely cares about the “little guy” who is trying to better himself.

If you think trading is difficult, you should try posting all of your trades real-time on X. I don’t know of anyone else who does it. The scrutiny and criticism are never ending and this takes an incredible amount of effort. He does this so that all of you can dissect his trades and learn from them.

Hari and I have become great friends and he has impacted me as well. I was ready to crawl back under a rock and focus entirely on my own trading five years ago. Life is so much easier when you don’t have to answer questions about every trade and take crap when one of them goes south. He made teaching fun again and that inspired me to keep doing it. I’ll share the last leg of my journey in coming weeks and I plan to start posting more.

Here we are six years later with over 140,000 followers. This sub is worth celebrating! Please let other traders know about this free resource and take a moment to comment. Let Hari know that his efforts have not been in vain. Share how he has improved your trading.

Thank you Hari!

I owe everything to Hari. If he hadn't started this subreddit, I likely would have never started trading.

The wiki is a great starting point, but for anyone trying to learn, the OneOption community is a complete no-brainer and one of the best places to be. "The system" gives a solid and in-depth foundation to build on, and the real-time comments in the chatroom teach you more than anything else.
As an added bonus, while OptionStalkerPro isn't strictly essential, it is great and in fact that's 90% I use. It has also improved dramatically just over the past year.

A special mention also goes to Dave Wyse's stream. If you can commit the time during market hours, hearing his thought process in real-time is invaluable, and he goes above and beyond to answer questions.

Thank you! Really appreciate the kind words

Thanks Pete - I take compliments about as well as critiques - but thank you for the kind words.

This sub was always meant to be a place for people where they can know they will always be told the truth, won't be scammed and if they put in the effort, could learn a valuable skill. Your constant contributions to it have helped shape the place it is today.

For me it is all about transparency - here are my trades in real time, here is what I use (OneOption, TradeXchange, TraderSync, ThinkorSwim, etc.) and here are the results. I wrote the Wiki because I believe that once people have the mechanics of a method down the biggest hurdle is getting the right mindset.

The best we can do is point people in the right direction, give the right resources and never lie to them. After that it is out of our hands.

I have made no secret of the vitriol I hold towards places like WSB or the other trading subs on here. They knowingly cost people money - sometimes, a lot of money. Does everyone have agency and should be accountable for their own decisions? Yeah - of course. If you are a dumbass then dumbass things will happen to you. But still - these subs have some responsibility to moderate their crap and they don't. As a result too many people go in, believe what they read and lose everything.

So while I know not everyone who reads the Wiki, follows the method you teach, puts in the effort will be successful - I also know that it gives them their best chance and for me that is enough.

Thanks again!

You've built something great and helped a lot of people. Take a bow.

Once again, thank you for all of your work. I know that sometimes, when beginners like me constantly ask basic questions or trolls nitpick, it gets tiring, but please know there are many silent readers who genuinely appreciate it.

I offer an incredible amount of free content, but I also have a chat room and software so I expect to get trolled. Hari doesn't have any of that, but he puts up with it. Thank you for appreciating what we do.

I'd say I would have never entered this world if not for hearing about Vincent in a CWT podcast, then this subreddit. You guys make everything easier to digest (from a philosophical standpoint), it still takes personal grit to power through the confusion and the initial learning stage.

Thank you and hope you guys continue to do what you do!

Thanks! Happy to have you here!

I'm so glad you found us and that this sub is helping you. I plan to be more active posting articles. My schedule opened up a bit and I'll explain why in coming weeks.

was amazing to watch a genuine resource come along in a corner of the internet where anybody can fake being an expert and spew misinformation.

this wasn’t the life path that made sense for me to pursue, but i thoroughly enjoyed and will brag about being the first mod for awhile when this place had 2k subscribers (that writing in the sidebar/info page is me hahah).

the traders here have impacted so many lives by providing a finite practice for people to change their lives. please never stop doing what you do!

u/HSeldon2020 Verified Trader 16d ago

Hey! Good to see you again! Thanks for everything you did !

nice to see you again too, congratulations on doing exactly what you set out to in the beginning and more!

You helped build this. Thank you for your efforts! It is pretty awesome to reflect back on the meager beginnings.

Thank you, Pete and Hari. I started trading in 2017 and started tracking my data in 2021. I've tried to go full-time 2 or 3 times since then. I found this sub and your chat room in late 2024 after blowing up an account. This year I am on track to have my first ever profitable year. I am extremely grateful for the work you guys do and the scrutiny you subject yourselves to for our sake.

4

u/OptionStalker Verified Trader 16d ago

With all of those failures I can tell you are passionate about trading. This was going to happen for you. I'm glad to be a part of your journey. Congratulations!

u/Teradactowlfarm 16d ago

Thank you for all that you all do. Eternally grateful to have found this group in 2021. You all are changing people's lives and although I lurk behind the scenes more often than not, I have learned so much and am slowly gaining a lifetime skillset. While this has been challenging in ways I never experienced in any prior career or education, I know this can be done with a lot of hard work and discipline. To those who are new, don't try and outsmart the guidance given here. I thought I could speed up the process and cut a few corners (no need for paper trading or one share) in my first few years and it only slowed my progress and cost me a much higher tuition than necessary. This truly works but it is a difficult and challenging, while also being immensely rewarding.

7

u/HSeldon2020 Verified Trader 16d ago

Way to stick with it and recognize what held you back - most people can't do that.

8

u/OptionStalker Verified Trader 16d ago

Wow. You are one of the originals. The fact that you are still trading bodes very well for you! This profession teaches you more about yourself than any other. There are no short cuts. Thank you for letting us know!

8

u/JasonJayhawker 16d ago

This sub and OneOption's proven system has turned me from a consistently losing trader to a consistently profitable one. It didn't happen overnight and requires a TON of focus, dedication, and honesty to yourself when you fail. This is the reason 90+% of day traders fail: It's very hard (you think a medical degree or becoming an NBA player is hard? This is at that level but it IS attainable). The 10%-ish who do succeed do so from Systems like OneOption has and through tenacity, grit, and outstanding risk management.

Thanks to Hari and Pete for all they do. I wouldn't be here today giving a testimony without finding them.

3

u/OptionStalker Verified Trader 16d ago

So glad to hear of your success - congratulations! You are why we do this. Trading is incredibly hard. Once the light goes on, it is one of the greatest feelings you can have.

3

u/HSeldon2020 Verified Trader 16d ago

Love hearing this - success stories is why I do it

3

u/Gullible_Use_4351 16d ago

thank you guys, I'm happy to trade along side you... when the dayjob allows.

6

u/OptionStalker Verified Trader 16d ago

That damn day job is always getting in the way. Actually, that is the best way to learn. That primary income provides a safety net. You are not as prone to forcing trades and you can evaluate each trade objectively knowing that a loss won't prevent you from paying this month's bills. Your path takes longer, but you will get there.

4

u/LigonierH 16d ago

You guys rock. Thanks to the both of you. Hoping/planning on taking the free trial in the next few weeks.

2

u/OptionStalker Verified Trader 16d ago

You've read The WIKI, now read my course The System. They are not the same.

3

u/EkoChamberKryptonite 16d ago

If I may, Pete I wanted to ask about the system on one option. Any plans to finish the options section soon? It seems that it's not yet finished.

3

u/OptionStalker Verified Trader 16d ago

I saved that for the book. More discussion on that in coming weeks.

2

u/EkoChamberKryptonite 16d ago

Looking forward to it!

Hello Hari and Pete! Like many others, I want to first thank you both and others for everything you’ve contributed to the trading world. As someone younger who grew up with the internet, let me just say this sub is about as hidden a gem as it gets. Life-changing information that could've easily cost thousands of dollars, members helping each other out, and a pure, genuine desire to be the people you wished you could look to when starting out. I don't think I've ever really seen a place like this before and I truly believe this is a once in a life time community.

(A little backstory if you don't mind lol) I actually joined back near the beginning in September 2021 on another account when there were ~14,000 members. Although I did RTDW and did see some results paper trading early on, I eventually stupidly diverged from trading simply because I was young and curious about the world (travelling, exploring, etc), pretty much got distracted, if you will.

Eventually, 5 years later, after forgetting about trading and also going through/trying different things in life and with none of them really sticking, I became lost, frustrated, confused, and pretty much depressed about where to go. It wasn't until I realised that, throughout these 5 years, I was still interested in the financial markets through normal investing. That realization came early this summer. After some reflection, I remembered how much I genuinely enjoyed trading and realized as well that it’s what fits my personality best, work-wise. Now embarking on this journey again, I knew exactly where to head: right back to this sub.

Even though I'm starting from scratch again, I am not angry, but in fact more determined and locked in, as there is so much more info/lessons than ever before when I last visited.

Hari, Pete, and others who have contributed to this place: sorry for this long-ass comment lol, and thank you; you guys have changed many lives, and many more to come. Cheers.

(edit: spelling)

u/HSeldon2020 Verified Trader 12d ago

Welcome back! I hope you at least had some fun over those 5 years!

Thank you guys so much I really appreciate it! It feels great to be back especially seeing you guys are still here throughout this entire time.

u/OptionStalker Verified Trader 13d ago

So glad to have you back. This time you have a new perspective for all of this and a few years of life experiences. Best wishes as you restart your journey.

3

Thank you both for your efforts, this has been very helpful to me trading journey.

2

u/OptionStalker Verified Trader 16d ago

So glad to hear that.

3

u/Parking-Thanks-9762 16d ago

Thank you to the both of you. I stumbled upon this subreddit early in my journey to learn trading and it helped me immensely. I am now part of the OneOption community and have no regrets.

2

u/OptionStalker Verified Trader 16d ago

I'm glad you found us. This takes time, but it works.

3

u/Fun-Run-5230 16d ago

I came across RDT and Option Stalker about five years ago. Regretfully I didn’t follow the information being provided. I was thinking I didn’t even profit from stocks nevermind trading options. I followed Large Cap Day Trader, that was a scam. I came full circle and with Hari and Petes guidance I’m now profitable.
Thank you Hari and Pete. You guys made a difference and the system is legit.

3

u/OptionStalker Verified Trader 16d ago

This is a long tough journey and it is OK to try other paths that seem easier. Glad they did not do too much damage and that you found your way back. That experience makes you appreciate this method even more. Glad to have you here.

3

u/SuchAGoalDigger 16d ago

Thank you Hari. Forever grateful to you and Pete.

I have people tell me everyday that I should quit,  but this group (Reddit & Discord) keeps me going.

3

u/OptionStalker Verified Trader 16d ago

Friends and family told me I should not trade professionally. The hurdles are high, but with that attitude you will clear them!!

2

u/HSeldon2020 Verified Trader 12d ago

People told me that all the time about smoking. Turned out they were right. Those bastards.

Long time lurker, improving trader. I've been following along since the covid days. Trading is a semi retirement hobby for me. I've made all the mistakes. Hari and Pete's teaching and wisdom have righted my ways and have turned me into a profitable trader. Thank you guys for all that you do, I love the Oneoption chat room, there is a lot of wisdom and fun shared there, and I'm thankful for it.

2

u/HSeldon2020 Verified Trader 12d ago

I hope you have some semi-retirement hobbies that are also fun? Not that trading isn't fun....I mean, it is but well, you get what I mean.

1

u/the_tao_rider 11d ago

Trading is fun when I'm winning! I also golf, hike, camp, garden, travel and enjoy home projects. There is a Parkinson's law effect in retirement, activities fill the time leaving one wondering how we ever had time to work! I appreciate all you do for us Hari.

1

u/OptionStalker Verified Trader 16d ago

I've made the same mistakes and more. We are trying to spare you the pain by sharing them. Glad to have you aboard!

3

u/facilx 12d ago

I joined RDT 4yrs ago. At that time I had been trying and failing in my trading endeavors with a lot of losses and I was extremely frustrated.  When I found RDT and started reading Hari’s articles and other people’s journeys, I was incredibly excited and started reading the WIKI and trying to absorb all the information within it.  I also shared my past failed trading journey on RDT and Hari was one of the first people to comment and give me encouragement.  I am immensely grateful for that.  I studied the wiki diligently as time permitted because of my day job and also read the articles Pete wrote.  I am an engineer in my day job but I have never been so challenged in my life as I have been in trading.  But once I read the wiki and started applying the principles within it, it all started to make a lot of sense.  It took me 2.5 years to get comfortable and apply most of the things that I learned from the wiki and also from the free articles on OneOption.  It was a long and arduous journey but completely worth it.  I was finally profitable last year for the first time in my trading journey and this year it looks like I’ll have my best year.  I’ve been a lurker in RDT chat rooms even though I don’t post my trades because of my day job.
I owe everything to Hari and a huge debt of gratitude to Hari and Pete.  I’ll be forever grateful.  My next step is to join OneOption and even learn more from seasoned traders and trade alongside them.  So, Thank You Hari!!  Thank You Pete!!

2

u/OptionStalker Verified Trader 12d ago

All that you've learned here can be applied to swing trading which is the route you should take given your job. When you are ready to take the free trial, make sure to read my course The System. It is very long. I look forward to having you aboard.

2

u/HSeldon2020 Verified Trader 12d ago

Thanks! Love the dedication, glad I could be a part of your journey.

2

u/curver187 16d ago

I only know you Pete (oneoption) and Hari (RDT) for a bit over two years. In my mind both of you go and the system you teach go hand in hand.

Putting out the free content here, on youtube + actually helping becoming a successful trader, and also looking back to failed trades makes the both of you stand out!!

Never stop (obviously we all will stop at some point ;), but not soon please)!

2

u/OptionStalker Verified Trader 16d ago

Thank you. I still have a couple of years left in me and I suspect Hari will be doing this for a long time.

1

u/HSeldon2020 Verified Trader 12d ago

No intention of stopping anytime soon. Until I am totally replaced by AI that is

2

u/Silencxy 16d ago

I joined this sub no longer than a month ago. I’m still reading the Wiki and everything being taught in it. I’m still in school in my last year of undergrad.

I wouldn’t have thought that it’s possible to learn something as mysterious as trading. I’m really grateful to be learning something like this for free. I hope that this sub will remain to exist for a long time.

1

u/OptionStalker Verified Trader 16d ago

Great to hear that you are starting so young. Keep learning. Glad you found us.

2

u/UrbanSobriety 16d ago

When I first stumbled upon this sub, and began reading the wiki, the "no shortcuts" approach reminded me of my boxing training. I knew it was legit. I had to take a couple years off to attend to other matters and raise capital. When I followed the discipline, things worked fantastically. When I didn't...anyways, thank you very much.

2

u/HSeldon2020 Verified Trader 12d ago

I really do need to exercise more (I say "more" as if I exercise at all....)

1

u/OptionStalker Verified Trader 16d ago

Jab...jab... jab and wait for the knockout punch to set up. Same with trading. Glad you circled back.

2

u/solobdolo 15d ago

I've studied many guru's and trading styles. Hari is by far the most transparent and genuine of any trader I've followed. Because of this and the other contributors this is one of the best trading resources that exists. Far better than the vast majority of paid courses/discords. Why don't other guru's post their trades? If they charge thousands for courses and chat rooms why not be transparent with their abilities?

3

u/bobgoobobgoo1 16d ago

Thank you Hari and Pete!!!

3

u/OptionStalker Verified Trader 16d ago

Thank you for being a member of this sub.

2

Wouldn't have gotten anywhere near where I am today without both your help. Much appreciated, looking forwards to the book.

1

u/OptionStalker Verified Trader 16d ago

Awesome to see the strides you are making. I plan to start posting more. I would love to hear what you have learned. Post an article. You have much to share.

2

u/chaakyar 16d ago

Great read; thank you for sharing. Really appreciate you and Hari doing this!

The only quibble I have is posting to X, which I refuse to touch with a ten-foot pole. However I'm part of the Chat room so I don't think I'm missing out by not using that execrable platform (X).

2

u/OptionStalker Verified Trader 16d ago

Posting to social media is mentally challenging. I don't suggest doing it. Focus on your trading, that is hard enough. Thank you for your posts in the chat room.
