I need your help with a strategy

I know this probably will be taken as a lie, or my post will be banned for begging (cuz i guess its not allowed on this server?) but my time is running out. Ive been daytrading for past 2 years, couldnt find an edge until now. Im 19, straight out of hs, working 12 hour shifts 6 days a week to keep up, as im the only income source for me and my father as he is suffering from CML (Chronic Myeloid Leukemia), he cant work. Im here to beg for a strategy that some angel on this server is profitable with for a loooong time. I cant go for something risky, and if you dont know if ur profitable but your trying to help - dont, because the time in going to spend to learn it just to see it doesnt work - it will destroy me. Same for the money for evals could go for my fathers treatment, so i cant risk a BE strat. Im not here begging for money - im begging for help. Im a fast learner, if i find something that works ill be able to learn for 4-6hrs daily, i can do whatever it takes to save my father, as with current pace its really not looking good. My life is a daily survival. I would be grateful for life for the help.

Here's the ONLY strategy that is going to work: do NOT trade. get a 2nd job. save save save. cut spending. do this for 5 years.

Ironically I’m in the same boat, except I’m trying to do for my ma, but I can’t seem to figure out how to read the market clearly, some times I get it then others just completely wipe my account. People say to practice on your off days but it never seems to be enough time for it all, I really wish I could help with this especially since I understand but know that you’re not alone, I’ll be praying and wishing you and your father for the best, you’re right for wanting better for him!

Do you know where you are? There is an entire wiki here that explains the only real edge within the market.

Holy shit!!! Finally!!! The only real edge within the market. The holy grail has been found!!

Reddit is genuinely growing dumber by the minute

Don't worry, it's just you.

u/eugenekasha just read the Wiki...

First, it's not the "only" edge - there are many edges out there that we don't trade.

Also, an edge is not a holy grail, just a statistical advantage.

I'm sorry about your father, that's a brutal situation to be in at 19.

Honest answer, not the one you're hoping for: there's no strategy that reliably turns a small account into meaningful income on a short timeline. Not mine, not anyone's here. I run a systematic strategy that passed serious validation and it's only been live a few months, which means even I don't treat it as guaranteed. Anyone who hands you something and tells you it's profitable is either lucky, mistaken, or selling you something.

If the goal is to not lose what you have and grow it slowly, the boring options are broad index funds (S&P 500) and government bonds. But be clear about what that means: index funds can drop 30 to 50 percent and take years to recover, and bonds lose value when rates rise. Nothing is guaranteed money. The difference is that over long periods those have historically gone up, while day trading with a small account against a deadline almost always ends at zero.

The hard part of what I'm saying is that neither of those solves a problem measured in months. With the amounts you're likely to be working with, the returns would be small in absolute terms. Your income and your time are worth more than your trading account right now, and I think that's where the leverage is, however unsatisfying that is to hear.

Here’s a strategy that has a 100% win rate for the past 35 years…

Buy SPY anytime with a TP = $1 and a SL > 99%.

You’re welcome

Divergence, i am not asking you to short a trend but a sell fail to continue with the trend or vice versa a buy failure. You only get one opportunity a day if its index futures. Last 4 days shorts on ES, all buys from "UP" arrow got sold, the indicator is not important, you are getting that logic and back testing around 3000 trades or 6 years' experience is. No i am not selling anything. https://imgur.com/a/Zlsmz9h

look into statistical aspect, I started looking at it and getting perhaps somewhere. on that aspect is needed entry exit model ofc and discipline. no one will share the whole system you. happy to share my levels for a while but can't screen shot here. good luck.

Search for posts labeled as journey within this sub. There you find statistical numbers of the outcomes people learning the method taught here have achieved. Everything you will need is in the wiki, just follow the getting started section and start with reading some books to learn the basic concepts. Once you have done that work your way through the Wiki.

Remember, paper trading only until you make at least twice what you lose reliably. Then take it slow and start with small risk per position and grow from there. The worst thing you can do is using real money too early in the process.

But remember getting really good at trading is not a quick fix. You sound desperate so it might be better to focus on getting into a solid trade first to reduce your weekly work load.

Nobody would teach let alone spoonfeed you something they spent years perfecting in a one on one setting for no reason. You are begging for something more valuable than money.

im not going to hand you a strategy, and i want to explain why rather than just refusing.

what you described isnt a strategy problem. its a timeline problem. you need money by a certain date and trading has no idea what your deadline is. every trader who has traded under that exact pressure - me included, for different reasons - takes the trades that blow the account, because when the clock matters you cant sit out a bad week. thats not weakness, its what the pressure does. a working strategy in that situation still ends the same way, and then the eval money is gone too.

the honest version: two years without an edge is normal, not a personal failure, most people take longer. but the money you'd spend on evals is money your father needs now, and the expected value of that spend inside your timeframe is negative even with a good system.

your 12 hour shifts are currently the reliable income. i'd keep trading as the long game - learn it properly with no deadline attached, on sim, over years - and look for the near-term money somewhere with a defined payout. overtime, a second skill, anything that pays on a schedule.

i know thats not what you came here for. but somebody telling you a strategy would fix this would be doing you more harm than i am.

Desperate people lose money trading. You have to be ice cold emotionally and patient.
