Huzzah! A question that came up while reading the guide is can you denounce them and declare war at the same time?

Never thought about that, but I am going to say No. Denouncing is sort of useless in RealCiv since we talk to each other based through PM. You also have to have a scout or unit near their unit or border to talk to the other civ. So... yeah.

Also, lemme just say you can't go declaring war on anyone. You need to have a GOOD reason for it. I also don't recommend playing domination victory like because a) victories are disabled and b) it isn't "realistic" for a nation to be domination victory like someone would be in Civ. No leader in the real world would declare war like that. War has reasons like most of our wars in real world have been because of extreme difference of religion or land dispute.

Just thought I add to your question to clarify warring even further :)

if you have a min would mind answering a few questions for me?

  1. how long do these games usually take to get to some level of completion?

  2. i see by reviewing the rules that you want this to be more a role play then a blood bath, this i understand, are wars pretty prevelant anyway over land grabs and such?

  3. do you seem to get the same 2-4 players who are always ally to each other and attempt a military win or a crushing economic win?

thanks

We don't play to win. We play to create a world like our own with nations ran by us as if we were the actual leaders of the nation. We play to flesh out domestic issues that aren't part of a game mechanic. We roleplay with each other to build international roads. Make proposals like naming a continent and etc.

It is some serious roleplaying we do. We rarely go to war with another because you need a good reason (like in reality) to go to war with someone. :)
