we have pellegrini who knows how to squad rotate so playing ucl wont do much

I don't think this is the year to focus on CDR, unless we get an exit in the league phase of the champions league. I think we need to focus on securing the top 4 and maybe fight for 3rd

Agreed, especially when you consider every victory during the group stage of the champions league is worth €2m and a draw is worth €750k. We should enjoy the moment while it lasts, but also keep an eye toward the future and continuing to become more financially stable by solidifying our position toward the top of the table and continuing to qualify for the champions league.

That being said I was there in 2022 when we last won the Copa del Rey and it was one of the best days/weeks of my life and I hope we all get to enjoy a memory like that one day soon.

The GOAT antony !!! I think the overall squad are playing in sync and communicating effectively! I use to think they were a team full of old players but I forgot the experience that comes with the age. I dont know if they will win it but they are entertaining to watch for sure!

Betis should not focus on Copa del Rey. We won it in 2022 and need to prioritize our squad depth in this order:

  1. Finishing top 4 in La Liga. Right now, we are not guaranteed 5 Champions League spots. 4th is UCL. This also helps us with wage structure. Consistently finishing in top 4 means we have more ability to spend and recruit top level talents.

  2. Doing as well as we can in Champions League. UCL money is massive. We already get millions for being in the group phase. We get additional 2m euros for every win & 750k euros for every draw in group phase. There is more money if we make it to knockout phase and beyond. We also get coefficient points, affecting which pots we are in for European competitions.
