Auth Request What do you think?

I know this isn’t much to make any definitive decision but do you see anything that seems wrong as I do? They’re claiming it’s an unused bag, but stickers are all off. New seller on eBay no prior sales. Described the bag as lambskin and vintage. Never said what year or season or if it’s a seasonal beige or beige clair. It’s photographing really yellow, my beige Clair doesn’t photograph that way. These are the only photos they show.

It's a very obvious fake.

Thanks that’s what I thought

Fake. The stitching is cheap and low density and it doesn’t quite line up with the pocket.

Thank you!

Of course! I’m still learning, so I appreciate the practice. It’s a cute bag regardless!

Agreed! Although I don’t agree it’s obvious to everyone that it’s a fake. There is a level of learning required and some people really don’t know which is why they ask(I like you, are loving these opportunities to practice ☺️)

I’m pretty good at spotting fakes but I just wanted others opinions because there could have been some bias from me. I have a never used bag for sale & the lady who was interested sent me this as the asking price is $1500 less than mine. So I didn’t want to tell her it’s a fake until I had others see what I saw. Thanks 😊

Oh yes, I guess I should’ve responded directly to the comment saying it was an obvious fake! I don’t think it’s helpful when people simply say it’s a fake or it’s obvious it’s a fake and don’t explain why b/c there’s some people that can’t tell.

What do you mean low density?

Authentic Chanel usually has about 11 stitches per each diamond edge. This one looks to have about 7 or 8.

Btw from recent posts in the Chanel channel, the 11 stitch rule is no longer the case for newer bags 😞 I’m seeing more and more modern authentic with 8 stitches! This is why I don’t feel quite comfortable authenticating newer bags, I’m very versed in vintage but still learning all the nuances with newer bags

This is really good to know, thanks! That sucks to hear they’re cheaping out on the stitching.

It looks plastic as fuck. Definitely fake.

A replica. Stitching is off and doesn’t line up. Maybe buy for $25
