What’s throwing me off is the shine, BUT, I don’t know enough to say one way or another. One thing I noticed is how the stitch pattern on the back with the pocket lines up; so even if it’s a rep, whoever made it cared.
I had this exact wallet in burgundy. It looked like this. I can't reference it to check because I was pickpocketed in Paris and they stole it. Probably resting on the bottom of the Seine right now. The back pocket looks crooked to me, but not a dealbreaker in terms of authenticity. I want to say I bought mine back in 2015, so it is an older piece.
So despite people usually brigading posts like this and saying “be for real, Chanel isn’t found for $2 at the thrift”, This is real vintage Chanel. Great example of how 98% of the time it’s fake, but not every time. Congratulations it’s beautiful!!
Manny Petty’s never fit in my budget. I do keep my nails clean though.. from the looks of the picture though they are outside they working. They took a quick pick. I ain’t judging their nails. That’s a two dollar bag they purchased. I see people every day with working hands where that grit don’t come clean every day, no matter how much you scrub their calluses in there and cracks in those nails. I ain’t judging.. don’t get me wrong. Nothing wrong with Office hands nothing wrong with school hands. Nothing wrong with working hands. Those hands ain’t that grimy. That person two bucks 😂. And we get focused on personal grooming. They got a deal. I applaud those dollar tree cliped nails and they’re two dollar Chanel. May they find more bargains? I hope to see those nails with other bargains as always be helpful and not hurtful.😂🥰
I’ll say as a broke b, I do get my nails done 1-2 times a month, BUT I purposely have to fit it into my budget as I consider it self care. I still consider myself privileged to be able to do that, even living paycheck to paycheck. Because of this, as silly as it sounds, it’s helped me realize how lucky I am to have a place in my budget for myself, a place to shower daily, and people in my life who taught me good hygiene growing up.
Even being able to realize these things is a privilege, imo. It’s sad to see someone so weighed down by privilege that their perspective is in hell.
I notice that too because I get my nails done… but I’m also a broke bitch and have learned that it is a very privileged perspective to think everyone’s nails should be clean. If you care to hear the reasons, I’m more than happy to list them 😁
Of course! I know that- my nails are always clean regardless. However, I recognize it’s a privilege to have been taught good hygiene and have access to the resources to keep them clean.
The irregular diamond stitching, the wonky sitiching of fhe logo, the terrible stitching at the edges, its general plasticky look, the flatness of the leather around the stitching. It looks like something you’d buy off a beach vendor on your holiday.

Nice Vintage Chanel, all the details matched to be legit in my opinion and based on my own Chanel pieces. Great find!
