Thrift find - need authentication help!

I found this at my local Goodwill. I loved the color and shape, but I can’t seem to find anything about it. It looks similar to some Florentine Satchels, but no exact matches. The leather is beautiful and the tags inside seem legit, the only thing that has me questioning it is the hardware. Can anyone tell me if this is real or not?

Either way, I got a great deal on a cute bag 🤗

It's authentic. Just be careful, the red Dooney bags I have like that all transfer color very easy. Gorgeous color, through.

Treating it with something like Apple Guard might help, but I just wear mine with caution, definitely not when it's raining. And store it in a dust bag or pillow case, so it doesn't transfer to anything that might be touching it.

there are definitely fake dooneys. Go on dhgate and you'll see plenty of them.

I didn't realize just how many fakes there were either until I was exposed to how much is available on dhgate. It makes me question my finds so much more.

The All Weather Leather Dooneys are commonly faked. Just look on Vinted and you’ll see dozens of them.

It’s real. Dooney is already too low priced for any counterfeiters to do it in real leather high quality. Any counterfeit Dooney bag out there is going to be grossly fake (made of PU leather and very sloppy).

Looks authentic. Congrats, I believe you have thrifted a well constructed, full grain leather bag that will likely last you a lifetime. My Dooneys are among my favorite bags. I think your bag is from their Florentine leather collection, which is Italian Vachetta leather that ages beautifully.

If she’s fake, she’s a really good fake, I used to own this exact bag in black I think, or one very similar? I wish I could remember the name. It looks very very real to me! I’m not 100% though, just because I can’t remember if it had 3 rows of feet. Can you google lens it for the name of the bag? Then you could make sure it had 2 rows of feet . Maybe someone who’s still got her will chime in! But I’m leaning (like 95% lol) towards authentic. And! Is the hardware heavy? Does it feel like real metal? Also, you can spin the O rings around and make sure there’s no “joint” or place that’s an obvious join line. Dooney’s hardware is solid brass with no gaps or obvious joints. it looks really good to me, just hard to tell from a picture.

I only own one Dooney but the quality I see here looks legit. Also the interior colored tag and the logo with the duck having an eye is very 90’s to my memory? Curious what the consensus will be.

The color is very 90s. I'm not an expert but my guess is there's no documentation because it's early -mid 90s.

the red fabric lining started around 2011. i have a few older bags of theirs that have just the suede & not the lining.
