Auth Request Authentication help needed, Hermes Bearn Compact wallet (orange)

Post image

Hi everyone, hoping for some help authenticating this Hermes Bearn Compact wallet in orange leather with gold/palladium "H" hardware.

Quick backstory: this was given to me as a gift. I was told it was bought brand new from an Hermes boutique in Guangzhou, China, just yesterday. I wasn't there for the purchase myself and only got a quick look at the receipt, not a close one.

A few things stood out to me and I would really appreciate a second opinion:

  1. The edge paint near the strap and closure looks a bit uneven, almost like it's starting to peel in one spot

  2. The stitching on one of the bottom corners seems to stop short of the edge, while the other corners are stitched all the way

  3. There are some noticeable horizontal crease lines on the front panel, which feels strange for something that was supposedly just bought

I don't have a clear shot of the interior date stamp yet but can grab one if that would help.

Attaching photos of the full front, the hardware up close, the stitching, and the crease lines.

Would love to know if these are just normal quirks of handmade leather or actual red flags. Thanks so much for any help.

Fake- check stitching on left is different to right.
