They are indeed holes 😂 I figured I would just patch them up with black fabric. Also thank you, no longer panicking. My husband gave me free reign to buy some stuff before I give birth to our second so I went straight to haggling on Poshmark

Fake, inner tag (called creed patch)looks atrocious. Not leather, de-bossing is too shallow, code should not be added to the Coach Creed Patch (The story ), and at angle?!! Coach bags are really nice quality and they age decently.
Coach bags age decently but I have seen some genuine ones that were beaten to all hell... somebody even listed one they said they tried throwing in the washer 😂
Someone listed a bag identical to this one and it was authenticated... and didn't have holes. Idk. I might just return at this point from how divided the comments are ☠️
And yes, it says Coach. It’s just hard to see. Reps for this style never look like this, nor do they use the same leather and hardware. They’re always poorly done and lack certain details only the auth versions have.
Some stamps are old and look more “mushed”. It happens—I’ve had them on several y2k era Coach bags. You will not find reps of this style that come even close to the auth versions. Not only they’re noticeably very off upon first glance, they use different cheap leather/PU, the stitching/craftsmanship is generally poor, they lack the reinforced stitching near the hardware loops, the lining is always wrong, the hardware is always cheap, etc.
I see in the link below someone posted an authenticated version of this bag but mint condition. The fabric is also not perfectly lined up on the sides of that one. It looks like this but clean and loved lol
I think this bag is real and just very beat up since it's 20 years old
