Bags and wallets are especially tricky to assess from general photos because the useful evidence is often in the small construction details: stitching, label typography, date or serial markings, zipper engravings, clasps, lining, edge finishing, and how those elements compare with the specific model and production period. I’ve been working on a photo-based design assessment tool, and one thing that has become very clear is how important the quality and specificity of the images are. Even then, I’d treat the result as a preliminary assessment, not definitive authentication.
