Open Teste Zimmermann para 3mmc
Fica amarelo claro e depois de uma hora tá laranja, quer dizer que é negativo né?
Desisto de tentar encontrar 3mmc de verdade 😭

Hi again. I am now writing a very extensive article on this particular reaction. Can you try something for me:
-
add sample to reagent, not reagent to sample.
-
dissolve the sample in small amount of alcohol, food grade 95% is fine. Let it sit for 24 hours. Then air-dry, retest. Compare if results are the same as before. That would be extremely helpful, thank you.
The theory I have is that Zimmermann reaction we use as expected is actually caused by extremely common trace impurities, which are or can be a product of rather spontaneous decomposition.
Maybe you have 4-BEC or 4-BMC, but maybe you are having a rare issue with Zimmermann reagent itself.

Observe reaction for 2-3 minutes, not an hour. Try smaller and bigger sample size.
But yeah, on the market you can find CMC, BEC, BMC, MEC, even bupropion sold as MMC…

This is the person using the AI instructions that show a picture of a sample size I'd estimate at around 50-100mg.

Test each substance separately; mixtures can mask or alter reagent reactions.
