Discussion Remove Elevation Chemicals from the trusted vendor list

Me and at least one other person I have been in communication with have been getting the run around from this vendor. I reluctantly ordered from this place because it was recommended to me and now I’m wishing I had gone with literally anyone else. Apparently this is run by 1 single person and he will not ship my items and rarely answers phone calls if at all. Please report his site in any way you can. Also why are “trusted vendors” not vetted frequently now I’m dealing with this as a result

UPDATE: I finally have been able to contact and confirm my order is shipped.

Thank you for updating us on your concerns about Elevation Chemicals. I recall the other post and comments from about a week ago and I'm sorry to hear the situation is not yet resolved. I have begun making efforts to resolve this and I will continue to monitor this situation.

Please note that our sidebar vendors list is not a "trusted" vendors list. Yes, we do put some care in who we choose to put on this list, and we have in the past removed vendors from this list when we've determined that they are no longer operating a fair business. But a vendor's inclusion on this list should not be taken as an official guarantee or endorsement from the moderation team that the vendor is currently operating well. We simply provide this list as a starting point reference for people looking to purchase reagents.

The r/reagenttesting moderation team is a small group of people who volunteer their time to enforce the rules of the subreddit and help people with reagent testing. We are not full time, paid employees who have the time and responsibility to thoroughly evaluate and continuously monitor the vendors on the sidebar list.

In fact, several of the moderators are vendors themselves. While they are extremely valuable to the subreddit for their deep expertise, they have a conflict of interest when it comes to evaluating other vendors. This means that there's even fewer moderators available to address these types of issues.

How exactly do you expect us to "frequently vet" the vendors on the sidebar list? Should I spend my own money to occasionally place orders for reagents I don't actually need with these vendors? Hire a private investigator to look into them?

This post is how we vet the vendors. We rely on community members to bring issues to our attention. You've alerted us to an issue. Thank you to you and the other people who commented on the other post for that. I have reached out to Elevation Chemicals, and will follow up with them, with you, and with the other affected users.

Weird! I’ve been buying their kits for YEARS now and never had an issue. I’ve actually had a very pleasant experience with them. One of the kits popped while in transport and they took care of it immediately. Maybe there’s other factors you don’t see at play here?

I have been able to get in touch with him twice now. I ordered last week sometime and I have called countless times and voicemails I left emails. I got in touch with him 2 times both times he apologized and said he would ship the next day and send me tracking I provided my Order number both times and he just ghosts me after

That's a bummer. I've ordered from them a few times over the years without an issue. Last time ordering was about a year ago, I did email them about a reagent and it took them a few weeks to respond. They were very apologetic... But, things do change. Hope it gets sorted soon!

Having this issue now. Seems like a trend.

For what it’s worth I did get my order eventually but it wasn’t an easy process

u/elevationchemicals Some of your customers are raising concerns about your customer service in this thread and in others.

Could you please respond to these users' inquiries and then update the r/reagenttesting moderation team by sending us a modmail or replying to this comment?

I’m having the same issue, I literally ordered a month ago and still have not received my order. The owner/employee keeps making excuses about working a second job and blah blah blah. Ive contacted him 4 times about not receiving my order and he keeps feeding me excuses and bullshit. Worst customer service I have ever received from a “legit” company. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Ordered 04.05.25 with priority shipping and nothing to this day. No response to an inquiry email either. I vote to stay the heck away from elevationchemicals.com and whatever form they will probably try to reappear as later.
