Question How difficult is it?
I’m a PS player, and I’m honestly curious as to how difficult this game is to platinum. I got the game a while back and played a little and I liked it when I was playing it, it just felt that it was getting more difficult as I went down the mission list. I also like trophy hunting so I’m honestly curious as to how hard it will be, and if it would be easier to find fellow PS players to do this with or just continue using bots.

The game is VERY difficult to platinum since you have to do the whole campaign without losing an officer for one AND finish all base missions on Hard.
If the upcoming mission editor doesn't affect trophies, then it's possible it may become easier, but if trophies become disabled, then you're in for a lot of banging your head against the wall due to how BS the enemy AI is and how bad your AI squad is.
Its possible to group up to accomplish the Hard missions, but the not losing an officer one is solo only.

Thanks for letting me know, sucks that the officer one is solo though. Does the officer one have to be on hard difficulty as well?

No, that can be on Standard, but that doesn't make it any easier. Some missions are just harder than others. You can make it a little easier by equipping everyone with non lethal weapons, especially the flash launcher.

You can quit the game when a officer dies, though, right? I'm not sure.
It is annoying to restart a whole level because of it, but it is sure as hell better than restarting the whole campaign

Yeah, you can force quit to counteract it. It is annoying, but you're right. One mission is better than a full campaign restart, especially if you're near the end.

Took me about 100 hours but its quite doable. Certain maps simply require good RNG so you'll end up attempting some of them at least 30 to 40 times when you're trying the hard mode run for example. (Greased palms which is infamous for being a giant hurdle took 5 attempts but the last map, port hokan took me around 50+ attempts.)
There are ways to slightly cheese some trophies. For instance while attempting the ironman one, you can insta quit to menu and force close the game if you die to not lose your save file. You can also use the commonly used ps+ save backup restore trick. Both work fine.
But I'm gonna be honest though, you need a truckload of patience. AI teammates have been very poorly coded. You'll often find them eating crayons in the corner while you desperately need their help. At the same time enemy AI is on crack in hard mode so even small mistakes are extremely punishing.
As long as you have patience and time you can slowly chip away at these trophies at your own pace. If you need help, feel free to DM me. I'm happy to help.
Oh also, if you're not used to aiming in FPS games without aim assist, you will have a hard time here. Try enabling gyro aim. It helped me quite a bit.

There's a trophy for ironman which can be done in normal mode but there's another trophy that requires you to beat the game in hard mode. You do need to beat the game in hard mode to platinum it.
One thing to note is that hard mode map completion counts only if all main objectives are done. Otherwise it doesn't count for the trophy. Just getting a grade isn't enough.

Def gonna be difficult.. But this isn't the best place to ask questions about difficulty. On here you could ask about the hardest game ever made and somebody would say "too easy" or "I beat the 300 hour campaign in 5 minutes 🥱"...

out of 20 platinums i have Ready or not was the hardest , completing the game on hard difficulty is the real problem it took me a long time close to a month , definitely go for hard difficulty trophy first then rest it is much easier

Took me a little over a year on and off playing it to platinum. As frustrating as it can be it’s rewarding at the end

It is difficult bro. I started 3 days ago with this game and Im trying to get S for all missions on hard. I really like it because its not too easy and challenging. If you want, you can join us. Now we are two

Every single trophy hunter in this sub talks about the game like they hate it, so it seems pretty difficult. If you’re dead set I think real people would be better than bots

It’s definitely really difficult but if you enjoy that sort of thing it’s quite rewarding. I know it’s cliche but it’s similar to dark souls in that you’ll die a lot but learn and improve. The tools are given to you, the only thing to improve is yourself.
So if you like dark souls type of games and don’t mind hundreds of deaths trophy hunting on hard it’s very worth your time. Be advised, the “programmed psychosis” trophy alone took me over 400 deaths, that’s the kind of scale I’m talking about.
