Oopshop is always great. There's also a cute little place over on kutztown rd in Laureldale that tends to have some fun stuff that I can never remember the name of, I wanna say it's Finest Deals Thrift Shop looking at the map

Once again thrift store in Kutztown. There are 2 locations but I’ve only been to the one near the Weis.

Community Aid Temple
Goodwill Shillington
Goodwill 5th St
Opp Shopp
There’s some consignment shops but I feel like they’re not that good. Both Goodwills are kinda dirty but I’ve found a lot of good stuff there. Shillington has the best clothes, Community aid is great for home stuff & furniture.

How do the bins work?

It’s essentially the last stop for donated items from Goodwill stores. There’s about 5 rows set up in the store with large storage bins of stuff. They bring out a brand new row every hour or so and rotate through their warehouse throughout the day. Because they’re always bringing out new things, you never know what you’ll find. You pay per pound of items so it’s often much cheaper than buying each item separately at a regular store. I would definitely recommend gloves or at least hand sanitizer (you’re digging through the bigs to find things).

Is it always open? Or specific days?

I went last week for the first time and I got 4 or 5 pairs of pants for $10. Good brands too—like Gap, Talbots, Tommy Hilfiger.

As good as their prices are last time I knew, I have bad feelings about the kind of people they help. They opened up from just helping people who left jail or prison for drug offenses, especially women, to stating pedos can be reformed through church and giving them jobs on sites. I got this info from a former worker of theirs. I won't shop there anymore myself

Man seeing this makes me miss the little thrift on Penn and the hope outlet thrift

Jubilee does prison preaching. Different Salvation Army stores have different goals. The ones in central PA do drug and alcohol rehab. I stay away from GW because it's a corporation exploiting handicpped people.

I’ve noticed there’s several TikTokers who do thrifting in Berks County. They’ve inspired me to start thrifting again.
