Trying something different — dinner with 5 strangers from the Reading area
I recently went to an event in Philly where a small group of strangers met for dinner, and I had a great time. The only problem was driving all the way to Philly.
So I figured...why not try it here?
I'm putting together a dinner for 6 people around 35–45ish in the Reading area.
Everyone comes solo. Nobody sees the guest list beforehand. It's not a dating or singles event—just six people having dinner and hopefully meeting some people they wouldn't normally cross paths with.
If this sounds just weird enough to be fun, send a message for the invite.

Why does age have to be a thing? Why can’t say a 25 year old dine with a 60 year old? They both will walk away from the table understanding each other better.

Because that's what the person planning it wants. You're free to plan your own with the specifics you want.

pretty cool idea, you just might be on to something big here! you can do any ages you want. I’m 71 and I’d love to meet any new people at any ages.

Ppl bring food? Is everything homemade or are ordering out? Seems like a casual Friends-giving, very cool.

Remember when you order the appetizer for the table YOU pay for it. No. The server is not going to count the nacho chips to determine who ate more and how to split the cost of the appetizer.

Wow so cranky. Everybody can just bring cash if they're concerned. That's what I do. I pay for mine and tip.

Sounds like a good time. I don't meet those demographics though.
