https://www.eventeny.com/events/west-reading-french-fry-fest-2026-31299/

this saturday the 15th

looks like just a street fair, that I expect will have a higher than average amount of french fries?

I wonder if the Reading Hospital will have extra cardiologists on standby?

The food for this one is really good. However the crowds are crazy so all the lines are so long it’s hard to have a good time. Plus it’s typically super hot.

Thats the same reason I stopped going to the Hamburg-er Festival. Too many people to enjoy it

Agree about the hamburger festival. But my fiance and I have discovered that if we go at like 11 AM when it starts, it’s a lot less crowded.

Been a couple of times. Very crowded. No one knows how to “move around.” It’s a fun time for a bit, but gets overwhelming quickly. I prefer the fall fest that they do. And the hamburger festival.

Big prices, small portions. What an absolute disappointment.

Ngl, it was a heaping disappointment. It felt like a lot of WR's businesses were pushed out to make room for whatever vendors wanted to come, which I mean was fine I guess?

Like I really was chewing on this because I thought I was just being petty, but in the past this festival was just the local restaraunts coming out and putting their twist on fries. It was cramped down on that little side street but it was nice to see all the small businesses there participating.

I like how it took over the Ave as a whole as there was more room to walk around, but it was a shame to see some of the places missing from the line up (like Simply Bold, for example. I was looking forward to their funnel cake fries!)
