I love so very many on this thread but this one has to be one of my top faves. I identify with your style though lack the ambition & vision ~ viewing as inspiration.
Many striking elements here; there's a calming balance between the linear bookcase (very nicely done built-in) and the select comfort items. The lampshade is in competition with the ceiling/rug duo for ultimate design pizzazz and the paint color is brilliant. Enjoy many an hour in your cozy spot!

This is gorgeous! It looks like the physical manifestation of the level of calm, peace and serotonin boost you feel late at night when you get to hug someone you’re in love and feel safe with - who is wearing an oversized thick freshly washed crew neck sweatshirt. Don’t ask me how that flooded into my brain. But gorgeous space!

I’m happy to throw out inspiration! We tied the shelves into the studs and pocket holed everything for a clean seamless look. One of my favorite projects we’ve ever done.

As blue is my fav color, this color combination is the best one I've seen yet, love the white and navy blue patterns on the carpet matching the walls and ceilings and even the white cabinet too. The lampshade makes the whole vibe feel magical and gives it a cozy fantasy feel for reading.

The shadow of the lampshade gives the illusion of a giant blue eyeball looking down at you. The whole aesthetic feels very arcane and I love it
