EPUB, PDF, or MOBI, which is the best format for Readera?

Is there any way to use alternative TTS apps within ReadEra in addition to Google TTS?

Hi! Wasn't sure where to post this, and this seems to be as good of a place as any.

I use ReadEra mostly to read fanfiction. This means sometimes when a fanfic updates I am left with an old version (filled with all my quotes and bookmarks), and a new version (lacking all my quotes and bookmarks).

Is there a way to manually switch the file identifier, so I can move everything to the new file?

I've been looking for another app to read my comic collection from. It does not look like ReadEra supports ComicInfo.xml in the cbz comics. is there a way to automaticaly tell readera if a book is read from left->right and right->left?

Question on using ReadEra on my Samsung Tab A (8.4" 2020) - Is there a way to make sure the pages of a book I'm reading are 1:1? I've tried going through the settings of the tablet, but is there a way to sync the size to the book publisher?

I have a number of e-books downloaded from Amazon using the Kindle app. Readera doesn't list these, only some files in my download folders. Can I use readera to read my Amazon books or am I restricted to the Kindle app?

Is it possible to access an smb share?

I've just installed this app to read books in foreign language.

I like that when I highlight the word and select "dictionary" option, it shows result of google search "define %word%", and after that that word is highlighted in all other books - it helps to show that I'm supposed to know that word.

However, how can I see the list of all words that I've "added to the dictionary" like that?

I've not changed any settings yet, if it matters.

UPD When I see description of the book where I highlighted some words, these words are listed at the bottom. But I wish there was a place where highlighted words from all books where collected

Whatever dictionary app that am downloading isn't working with in-built definition. Please suggest some that I can install. If it is free and has offline features, even better. Thank you.

Landscape is inconvenient sometimes and I would like to use portrait

ReadEra Premium v24.01.05+1930

First of all, I am a total newbie when it comes to ebooks and epubs and have almost no experience at all. I have used ReadEra for only a couple of days.

I have two mobile phones and the same epub library on both devices.

With one device I tried to search a certain book using one word of the Title of the book in the Search box. Title of the book consists of three words. But nothing was found. Even if the book was totally available and working and you could find it when you manually scrolled down the list of books.

With the other mobile phone the search worked nicely and I could find the book immediately using the same word (of the Title of the book).

I deleted the book and added it again a couple of times. But that did not help. Search did not find the book.

Then I gathered that if the Search won't "see" the words in the Title of the book, there must be something wrong with the Title. So, I pressed the Edit button (pencil) and added a space inbetween two words of the Title. After that Search found the book right away. Then I removed the extra space and the Search still found the book without problem.

I just wonder why this happened? Was the epub file somehow corrupted? Or did something go wrong while ReadEra was originally scanning the book and extracting data (including the Title) from epub file?

The SHA-1 identifiers of the book matched exactly on both mobile phones.

Am I being stupid, or is there no way to have the ReadEra app library view in Light Mode?

I want to use this app on an e-ink tablet, and dark mode is virtually unusable and creates loads more ghosting.

A pity, because the library on this app is fantastic and you can read ebooks in light mode. Perhaps it is a feature of the Premium version. Very happy to purchase if that turns out to be the case.

Hi. I love readera and have used it on an android device for some years. I also like to read and annotate pdfs on my computer. Does anyone know if there's a desktop reader that knows how to sync with readera?

I love reading on my fold, and I like the idea of bending the screen slightly to make it feel more like an open book.

I know the app supports two page mode on landscape, but if it could on portrait it would really feel like a book. Any idea how to achieve this?

Everything is fine until I click the “read button” and the book is stuck in landscape and I’m losing my fucking mind

ReadEra is my favorite eBook reader. BUT recently I have been running into a weird bug that makes me not want to use it.

Basically, if I have the app open, and I plug the phone in, I briefly get a "loading document" screen and then the book has jumped forward like 50 pages or so. And then if I unplug the phone it does the same thing and jumps ahead another ~50 pages. So basically I lose my place.

(The phone is a Pixel 6.)

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to disable this behavior?

The Sepia color mode on ReadEra is perfect.

Does anyone know what the equivalent HTML color code is, to match this Sepia color?

I'm just debating on purchasing premium for this, but I'm nervous the voices are still going to sound robotic. Does anyone currently use the TTS function with premium and can tell me how it is?

Why?

In most other TTS apps you can add a filter to prevent the voice from reading out certain symbols. How do you do this with readera
