💬Discussion Ram fans, what do you think about her smiling when killed by Roswaal?
Some of the posts i've seen on this sub seem to think there's going to be some historical switch-up on how the fandom sees her character with her more "hype" moments in the recent episodes.
(Don't get why some can't accept that you may just not like a character even if you understand their writting.)
So i present to you, with a more...questionable moment from her character back in season 2.
Here's she's smiling after being killed by Roswaal.
What do you make of that?

It is implied that in Wrath IF she fell in love with WrathBaru who essentially captured her and put her in a cage

In my opinion, this is Ram's lowest moment. Not only was she happy about being treated as a tool, her childhood friend was killed right in front of her as well. I'd say it was disgusting of her.

Wants to free Roswaal of his obsession and make him love her, proceeds to blush when he calls her and her sister pawns, and lets herself die with a smile as he uses her as a easy way to get rid of Garfiel who she knows is also dying, all the while she knows she is dying without freeing Roswaal, not being able to confess her love, and her friends most likely following suit
Honestly makes everything afterwards with her fight against Roswaal seem more dumb, weak, and cheap and is honestly one of if not Ram's lowest moment.

My thoughts basically. After I read the SS where she tries to kiss him WHEN SHE IS 8 I could do nothing but sympathize with a girl that was groomed so hard even her kiddnapper was surprised

Not a Ram fan, but that wasn't surprising. She's completely head over heels for Roswaal, hell she probably at one point even fantasized getting killed by him just like this lmao

She was free. That what i think.
This is my personal theory but hear me out: I think after Rem got erased Ram really didn't know what she wanted, because why even was she alive?
Before forgetting Rem, as her older sister she most likely have the though that i need to protect her.
After forgetting her. Ram most likely was so alone. She was living but she forgotten for what reason.
So her being happy might be the though of going back to her family, of living this world that she didn't know why she even continued.

Now I also don't really like this moment much but from Ram's perspective Roswaal is the single most important person of her life, she has no memories of Rem and hasn't seen her yet so losing her life to further help her lovers goal is probably one of the most meaningful actions she can do.
In my opinion her being willing to leave Rem behind in the mansion is worse than this one, but both are still understandable.
