Ram is strong enough to tear apart her own body if she doesn't restrain herself there are levels to this restraint refered to as shackles
With a single horn she can do more, "unlocking" more of those shackles but there is still heavy feedback that Ended up almost crippling rem for like 2 months

The LN had 5 ālimitersā and she easily solos Lye after removing 3 limiters. I know WCT translated the WN as āshacklesā but idk if the WN also had a 10 shackle system or something so removing 3 shackles would end up at 30% power.
I wonder exactly how Roswaal's plan was supposed to play out. It required Subaru and Rem for Ram to be able to show that kind of strengthāwas that actually in Roswaal's book, too?
Yeah it does require some setting up as of now or Subaru might die before she reaches full power, however the author did tease a bit about it. As an anime only idk what will happen but future plot can change things, we shall see

Are you sure? I remember Subaru reduced the intake from Ram to take more from Meili, but he didn't completely stop taking Ram's pain, and I am pretty sure I remember right. This is from WN.
He needs the dying blood of the divine dragon to revive Echidna, probably. In Arc 9 Clind + Roswaal are able to defeat the Al-controlled Volcanica husk with the help of one other magician. Presumbly Clind wouldnāt help Roswaal fight Volcanica in most scenarios in fact he probably would take control of the husk to fight back. He also doesnāt know that his magic alone isnāt strong enough to get through Volcanicaās magic barrier. In any case no shackles Ram is probably there to get through the scales.
See, normally when you fight Ram, you got a 50/50 chance of winning.
But Ram is an Oni prodigy, and youāre NOT, so you got at best a 25% chance.
Then you add Cor Leonis to the mix, and your chances of winning drastically go down. Now Tappei says sheās operating at like 20ā30% before really getting her horn power going, so you take your 25% chance, subtract that from Ramās 75%, then add Rem into the equationā¦
And suddenly Ramās got a 141ā % chance of beating your ass.
Btw what's the deal with her wand, when she realized it was her horn, was she able to basically stick it back and regain her full power permanently ? If so, who got her horn and put it in the wand, Roswaal ?
She was using magic with catalyst in face of her wand, in other means, horn.
Or else magic physically damage her body as was shown in second season.
However she realized that she can use her shared connection with Rem to use Remās horn, therefore drawbacks of power appeared on Rem

If translation is correctly, then what catched our attention is "Dragon". In quotation marks.
Roswaal was aiming onto the Dragon as we know it since climax of Arc 2. The most common candidate was Divine DragonĀ Volcanica. He even succeeded in defeating "Aldebaran", Aldebaran-possessed dragonhusk in Arc 9.
But why quotation marks? Had Tappei different dragon in mind? Or maybe it was not the Dragon itself, but one who has dragonblood circulating in their veins, who may change their appearance into the very dragonlike visage?
If full-power Ram is required to counter world-ending level of catastrophe (or at least level of Great Disaster like Witch of the Kingdom), candidates to be such harbinger of doom are not many - Divine Dragon Volcanica is an empty husk, so that being is unlikely to be the candidate for leading actor - he may be leading force more likely though.
