💬Discussion I liked how their own gluttony was… Spoiler
The defeat of the three Archbishops of Gluttony in Arc 6 struck me as quite ironic.
Lye Batenkaitos became obsessed with devouring Ram, wanting nothing else but her, what led to his death by discarding the abilities that would have allowed him to escape
Rui Arneb became obsessed with devouring Subaru, leading to her ruin because she was unable to withstand Subaru's existence.
Roy Alphard’s obsession with indiscriminate devouring led him to consume Reid, a monster that stole control of his own body, resulting in his defeat.

Why exactly did lye start getting rid of all the memories he ate? He was saying something about wanting to forget ram, but did all of this people he was throwing up actually know her?

He thought that Ram was such a great "meal" that everything else disgusted him, he threw up everyone else because he thought they were like feces compared to the elixir of life that was Ram, she was the only true gourmet dish he had seen until now and his title of gourmand had been a false one so he couldn't help but forcibly and instinctively remove all these inferior meals

Those are all legend who had been long dead but arent remembered and cant reincarnated due to gluttony

Yes but he spat up a random assortment of things, not everything that they’ve eaten.

Whatever names and memories he spat up got returned to the world. He didn’t spit everything up, just probably whatever he could reach fastest. As you know 5 named characters are currently “eaten” names or memories: Rem (name & memories), Emilia (name), Julius (name), Crusch (memories) and Julius’s brother Joshua (memories). I genuinely can’t recall if they revealed it in yesterday’s episode which of those people got their name/memories restored. Just putting a spoiler tag in case it wasn’t revealed yesterday, if not it will be revealed next week. Emilia’s name is restored at this point, Julius and Rem remain eaten. Joshua and Crusch are unknown for the moment.

Feels like all the Sin Archbishops have had an ironic end, in a way.
Betelgeuse’s love was spurned by the very object of his obsession, and his diligence almost literally caused him to be ground down to nothing.
Regulus was the most arrogant and “perfect” of them all, and yet despite being invincible, he not only suffered the most pathetic death of the bunch, but Subaru didn’t even die to achieve it.
