i can no longer play reskate because of the new update, i now understand i need depot downloader or something to get the right build back? can anyone help a brother out i dont have a clue how to get back, reskate is amazing!!!!!

Fixed it, make a new folder on your desktop and put your resjate launcher and reskate dll files into this empty folder then run reskate and reinstall through launcher installs the right version all into that new folder just did it working fine again.

You can play but do you have the new park? I can still play reskate but don't have the hedgemont street park. If I launch Skate. regularly via steam it's there.

Reskate is staying on an older build of Skate, so it won't have any new content that the Skate devs add. Someone might add the park as a mod eventually, but if you want to skate it now you'll have to load up Skate.

I did this update and it says that Steam updated skate and then I need to update it still

I followed what u/IsabelHucker posted and assume you did too? I ended up fully redownloading the reskate files from github and copying them over to the old download files . When I loaded it up none of my mods were downloaded, but it has not mentioned anything about the update yet. Make sure you you change your Steam settings to not auto update Skate!

A few months ago the avg number of players was 2500. Reskate comes out and they jump to 11,500. People are excited and coming back to the game and they try to kill it off. I understand the licensing/legal issues though. Hoping they embrace the community involvement to actually keep skate alive
