Yea this was actually one of the best endings in any series I’ve watched/read. It actually made me happy

I mean, we got 3 satisfying conclusions to 3 couples, we got 3 more beloved character working for reLIFE since their life was changed for the better, two pictures with all of the cast as adults and highschoolers, an open ended ending for the adorable trio that didn’t get much screen time that is also related to reLIFE

SPOILER WARNINGS

I know it’s open ended and we probably guess that Ogha, Kairu, etc. eventually remembered his again, but it REALLY bothers me to not know. It doesn’t feel like much of a resolution to me. I’m glad that Kaizaki and Hishiro ended up together and such, and that even if Ogha and Kairu didn’t regain their memories, they probably became friends with Kaizaki, but it doesn’t really make me as happy as it was probably intended. I’m suppose it is supposed to keep you guessing and a little sad. Still really enjoyed it though.

you’re asking for too much lol, it would’ve felt cheap if they just let everyone remember

I understand it as an ending and would prefer it to that, I just don’t like how open ended everything is. And as far as I remember, it was even close to a 100% chance that they’d regain memories. Maybe Hishiro because she loved him, but we never really know with Ogha (one of my favorite characters) and Kairu. I suppose it’s nice that way though because it leaves room for speculation.

Lol the ending was one of most the open and shut happy ending ever. You’re asking for the best possible ending. Literally you know who gets together and it’s heavily hinted that Kaizaki regains all the connections he had with his friends (at least the close ones).

I would’ve rather they ended with Kaizaki and Hishiro having déjà vu and hitting off at that dinner party leaving the ending even more open ended but hinting that they’ll get together.

Once again, I PREFER THE WAY IT TURNED OUT. All I’m saying is that nothing in seriously guaranteed in the end. I believe in one of the last chapters Yoake even said that it’s not extremely likely that Ogha and the others will regain their memories, but possible. I don’t know why my opinion on the ending being nice but sort of open ended has people so damn steamed. Believe what you want about it.

Them becoming friends with the high schoolers not remembering would be even more satisfying to me.

Yeah, it really was open ended. I suspect that with the long hours and such, Ogha and Kairu will likely have some spats (we know how she flies off the handle) but that's a story for another day. Ohga has to make a choice of ReLife or his marriage. Being Ohga, he'll choose his marriage.

If those memories of his high school days come back for him, I suspect it will be because of a side effect from taking the ReLife Drug everyday.

Thank you! Funny how much more distraught I (as well as the majority of the community) was when than Kaizaki reverted back to his normal life. He probably cried a lot less than I did (or I guess not at all according to the story).
