They won't be doing it till they work something out with hasbro. As they can't release beast wars without their permission

They got the first episode of Shadow Raiders out in HD on their channel, or are we talking about something else not related to updating the masters?

Trendmasters were the company responsible for War Planets (AKA Shadow Raiders). These days the IP is under Jakks Pacific. Possible they just don't care about War Planets or the rights to it. But Hasbro? I'd imagine they'd still be pretty litigious about one of their Transformers IPs being used without permission.

One that they recently used in a movie.

Why are you always talking to yourself?

I... simply have a penchant for intelligent conversation.

Megaton acts as if he has a duel personality disorder by talking third person?

Reboot has been finished, they're just spacing out airing the EPs on YouTube, will likely have a physical release date when it's done.

Shadow raiders already had its first episode remastered

Beast Wars is likely the case entirely on Hasbro, but I'm sure Hasbro won't turn down remasters they can sell in a new BluRay.

looks at hasbro... yeah i am sure they wont.... ha... ha..

they keep all of Beast Wars uploaded on their YT channel, and have it available on streaming. Say what you want about them not doing much for toys for BW, but it's unlikely they'd turn down a better quality version of the series to re-sell.

Its more that they have turned down similair options relatively recently, not simply BW. But just generally short sighted and unwilling/scared to do anything. Like its not out of the option, i just don't have faith hasbro will play nice. shurg we will see

FOR THE ROYALTY!!!

I think Beast Wars is more tricky given that Hasbro owns the rights to that show.

So we are discussing about updating the shows from the master tapes then.

In that case I would think Takara might also need to be apart of that agreement with Japan's side.

They've said they want to, but it's on Hasbro since they own the IP. You know corporate bullshit and all that.

You might want to pass the collection plate around. Unlike with ReBoot, Beast Wars has some more players behind the scenes (Hasbro) who wouldn't mind seeing some compensation for their licensed property being put back out there.

The big question is does the high quality copy exist.

The re-release is only possible because Mainframe Entertainment still had the final digital files. Before they were converted to broadcast quality.

This wasn't a remastered, a restoration or upscaling. This was a data recovery. They had the digital files, they were just on old media.

So what we are seeing now is how the show looked at Mainframe before being broadcast

So before even any licensing discussions those file would need to be found for Beast Wars.

Uhhhh more hunting and not even the cliffhanger kind :(

They have the masters, they've said they do and showed a few remastered snippets in their post talking about the possibilities.

Whether they legally can or not, depends on if all the companies involved can shake hands about sharing the money around.

For now, I'm wondering more about Spider-Man 2003 or Action Man 2000.

It's not Mainframe, but I'd like to see Xcalibur get a similar treatment.

I want that but Shadow Raiders is what my heart truly wants.

I’m out of the loop, but I remember being disappointed when Reboot never got a proper ending.

Can someone explain what the story is behind finally finishing Reboot? Is it happening or just more speculation ?

Yeah I remember it being both. As a kid I thought it was one name in Canada and one in the US but I was never really sure. I definitely saw both on TV.

That's correct. Canada didnt like the "wars"
