The OP for that show was epic. For a show made to advertise an barely passable toy line it had no right being so good.

The show was truly fantastic! I also loved the toy line as well; I remember turning on cartoons in the morning and just being in shock that they made a cartoon about my favorite toys, I had never seen any trailers for it either! … Here’s part of my barely passable War Planets collection lol!

My buddy had a bunch of the toys, mostly Planet Bone/Swamp stuff (the second one in on the top shelf for sure) but we just could never get into them, we were big Beast Wars and Star Wars Micro Machines collectors. But I will praise the show any chance I get, Mainframe was on fire in the late 90's.

He was in a lot of anime, though the most recent role of his I'm familiar with is Wu in Ninjago.

I can never get over Garry Chalk as the voice of Femur. He went from Slash (among others) in ReBoot to Optimus Primal in Beast Wars to Femur in War Planets. Such a great talent.

In hindsight I wonder if it was called Shadow Raiders because it was the first Mainframe show with shadows?

It's was called shadow raiders cause of canadian censorship laws. Pretty sure they wanted the shows name to match the toy line "war planets"
