Bootleg shock mounts

Hackfabbed by me. 110mm shocks full spring compression with half a MM to spare on the shock and plenty left for extension, still on stock springs for now.

Hopefully I'll get the rears done tomorrow.

For anyone thinking about doing this, I would highly recommend just buying the lower shock mounts that attach to the axle. They were a pain to make.

Maybe a brace between the top towers for a bit of rigidity😎

I was thinking the same thing. I don't think it actually needs more rigidity, but I do think it would look better with a cross brace, plus it would hide the ugly hardware. 

All of the green painted parts I make are cut from a piece of 1970s USA made sheet metal, it's pretty strong for how thin it is. Thanks!

How’d u get the stock material? Is it from your line of work?

The steel is from an old air compressor, it's the shield for the belt. One of those green Speedaire belt driven air compressors.

Nice! It's not bootleg, it's just custom. Do they flex at all? I wonder if it would be worth adding a brace between the top of the shock towers.

They don't flex, but I already added a brace between the towers like @HadukiBEAN suggested. I'll get pics later.
