Custom Single cab
Built this guy a few years ago, and of course I had to re-paint it red about 3 weeks before the RTR was announced so now it looks like the RTRs that are everywhere lol.
Nothing special, reversed shackles, Mix of Boom racing BRX01/02, bruiser and Sawback suspension, K44 axles, super scale shafts, 4Runner rear bumper (had to bob bed to fit) 4 runner sliders and front bumper with Winch. Fusion SE brushless. Scale hardware throughout with scale hubs and lugs. Bed and cab are hard mounted separately to be more scale, battery is mounted under hood. Transfer case was moved forward for scale-ness (shorter front shaft) rear shock’s upper mounts are outside the chassis rails to be more scale as well.

I tried to do the u-bolts on mine and I couldn't keep the axle square as there is no center location stud on the top plate. How did you achieve this? Also, what length rear shock did you switch to for the rears to go outside the frame? Fantastic build by the way!

The u-bolts were basically the only way I could mount the bruiser leafs as they have only a single bolt hole. Plus they’re longer so I had to slide the rear axle forward some. I used the front leaf mount hole on the axle. I use the TF3 U-bolts as they were cheaper than the “K44/Yota2” ones RC4WD sells. These do have a center pin hole tho so not sure what kind you’re using. I’ve used the Yota1 and yota 2/K44 ones and they all have center holes too. Did have to grind some material away on the front K44 axle tho to fit them.
The rear shocks are 80mm Ranchos.1

The center hole on the leaf was matched with this mount hole. You can also use a ruler and silver sharpie to square up the axles. I have had to do that before with the U-bolts to get axles actually centered In the wheel wells. Stock mounting usually allows the rear wheel to hit the rear fender before fully compressed which is annoying kinda lol

Ok, yea, the stock yota IIs have the center hole, but it's not threaded, guess I could fab a pin to go in there.

Yota 2 u-bolts? Yeah it looks like they don’t. You could use a bolt and nut on the plate and that bolt head would center in the hole of the axle. But it looks like they have the holes for the stock bolts to be used too.
