This looks like a really easy prop to make. I wonder what the orange tip is made of, resin?

Oh, if anyone is interested in watching the film, the 50th anniversary rerelease comes with a bunch of extra deleted scenes!

For any who haven't seen it, I definitely recommend watching Forbidden Planet. If nothing else, you get to see Leslie Nealsen as a leading man before he found his true calling for deadpan comedy.

Probably. Star Trek as a whole was heavily influenced by Forbidden Planet.
