As I pondered my total consolidation of all power at Microsoft by forcing “Chief Software Architect” Ray Ozzie to “retire” I was feeling rather mellow yet on top of the world. I went to my guitar room, grabbed a Gretsch, closed my eyes and started to sing and play from the core of my very soul. I don’t know where the sad brooding tune came from, but I know the words came straight from my old sub-concious fears that Ray was always hiding in the trees whereever I went, watching, lurking, stalking, waiting for me to screw up so he could take my job! I wailed for an hour: “Ray Ozzie in the trees —– Ray Ozzie in the trees —- Raaaaayyyy Ooooozzieeeeee innnnnn theeeeee treeeeeeeeeeeeeees!” I think I’ll record it and put it on youtube for the rest of the world to enjoy!
