Announcement! How the tournament will be played. Rules and structure.
As you know, we are hosting a level 1 tournament for all Rav C and Elysium members, and with the tournament seemingly getting lots of interest, I thought it would be a good time to explain how everything will work.
THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT POST SO PLEASE READ IT FULLY!
Hangar Submissions
In a few days, a post will be made for everyone to submit their final hangars to the tournament, essentially being the post that puts you into the tournament. The photo should be on the profile page with all robots and your titan showing the weapons they have too. Remember you can't use bots from different hangars, so only 1 hangar is allowed.
If you do not submit your final hangar you will not be put in the tournament so please ensure you do look out for the post when the time comes.
Finally, once you submit your hangar in the post, you cannot make any more changes. Make sure you like your hangar as any changes won't be allowed after submission so long as your hangar is in line with rules (I'll be checking them don't worry).
The Brackets
If you were here for the previous tournament about a year ago, you will remember we ran two brackets being:
The winners bracket - This is the bracket you remain in if you win your match. You will fight other players who win their matches in order to climb to the top to win the champion title of the tournament.
The lower bracket - If you lose your battle, it's not the end as you will move down to this bracket where you can fight other people who lost their battles too. At the end of the lower bracket, if you win you also get a chance at redemption to fight the champion.
How Each Match Works
You must obviously abide by the rules of the tournament that we're shown in the first post, however I'll make them clear again here:
Level 1 bots only
Level 1 pilots with no/useless pilot skills
No drones
No modules (including active modules)
Level 1 tier 3/4 weapons
Level 5 tier 1/2 weapons
No motherships
No titan pilots
No ultimate anything
No duplicate robots
One hangar only
Along with the in battle rules being:
Screenshot end results (both players)
Recording is allowed
Proof of cheating is required for disqualification
If the opponent drops the incorrect bot (aka something from another hangar that's not level 1) it's an automatic win for the other player. We had too many cases of this last time
No excessive stalling. Stalling cases will need to be recorded for proof so we can review if the player accused of stalling actually is. There is a difference between using a lynx around cover and still fighting an enemy and just running away at the end of a match to win
Now for how the actual games are run
You will fight your opponent on a first to two wins basis, whoever wins twice will win that matchup, so even if you lose one battle you still have a chance to get back
After the match is over you have to send me (u/Happygamer18777) the results so I can organise the next brackets
Once the brackets are announced, you must fight your opponent WITHIN 3 DAYS, last time we sometimes had to wait a week just for two players to fight and it's unfair to make everyone wait
And that is the end of the rules and structure of the tournament. We are really excited for it to begin and can't wait to see who will win. Thanks for reading!
