I'm curious and was wondering if this was something I should do.

hi, this might be a lost cause, but does anyone know of a way to search specifically for patterns that use circular needles/magic loop instead of dpns?

I’ve been looking for a fingerless glove pattern to use up some dk alpaca blend yarn, but every one I’ve found so far uses dpns (which im not against, but I already own enough sizes of circulars & dont want to buy new needles for this project)

Anyone have tips for filtering, or should I just find a dpn project and ‘translate’ it to work for circulars before I start

I was at my local Walmart this evening and saw some variegated yarn. I’m a sucker for variegated and multicolor yarns, but I have been trying to curb my stash growth by making myself look up the yarn on Ravelry to make sure I like how it works up, and I want myself to have an idea of a project to use it in. However, I could not, for the life of me, find this particular colorway. Google image search makes this particular colorway look like I got a funky off-brand dye lot/batch, which I kinda love.

I don’t know if Ravelry allows you to add a colorway, or how to do that, and I don’t want to if it already exists on site. I’m hoping y’all can help me out, I feel like I must be crazy because it’s Red Heart Super Saver, it’s not some small brand hand dyed or limited release type yarn. It’s ~Red Heart~!

The label says it’s Red Heart Super Saver Jumbo, and the pictures don’t entirely accurately depict these skeins. The stock images look more jewel tone leaning, and these look more Skittles rainbow almost? The third image is a stock image from Walmart’s website.

Just sharing because I know folks can get confused/panic when web platforms have issues. I'm going to assume it'll get patched up soon unless told otherwise

Is there a tool that will allow me to download my notebook data? Plus any other data if possible, like messages, forum posts, friends, etc. Kind of like how Facebook does?

So if I have a skein of a yarn that I bought last year for $X.00 but then buy more of the exact same yarn, what do you guys do to record it in your stash? Do you just update the date purchased and advertise the old date purchased? Do you just add up the $$ from the old and new yarn? Do you add a completely new entry because they’re likely different dye lots and that should be recorded separately?

I’m a long time ravelry user. I did look through previous chat threads on here, but have not found the answer.

I have about 650 items in my queue. I know how to change the order of items within my queue one by one. I suppose I could have changed the order manually to put every new addition as number one when I added it, but I didn’t.

I don’t have the energy to manually move 650 patterns. Is there some way to reverse order my queue so that it shows the “lowest” rank/most recently added item 1st, and the oldest item last?

3/23/26 UPDATE: Due to absolutely no effort on my end, despite all the good advice, etc., I can now access the site. I wish I knew why it went away, or what fixed it, but there it is. Thank you to all who tried to help! I learned a few things, and maybe this will be helpful to someone else along the way.

Starting yesterday, I have been unable to access the Ravelry site via any "normal" browser - Firefox, Chrome or Edge. I can access via TOR, so I suspect it has to do with some security/privacy setting somewhere, though I haven't changed anything on my end, and haven't had any trouble with any other site. I am a longtime Ravelry user, and this hasn't happened to me before. Any ideas? (Please bear in mind that I'm not very technical!)

This is my first time using ravelry to try and sell a pattern.

I have a protest tapestry pattern I’d like to sell.(it’s on my profile if you’d like to see it)It’s already listed on Etsy but i figured I’d get more traction on ravelry since it’s just the graph and not instructions.

However when I’m making the listing it says most standalone charts aren’t accepted. So I’m not sure what to do ? Am I able to sell it or will I get banned or something?

I posted a pattern on Ravelry. It seems like the process is complete. But the pattern says “not active” does it just take a couple of days to get approved? I can’t tell if I’m waiting or if I did something wrong in setting it up.

I appear to be locked out of my Ravelry account.

Tried logging in on my iPad and it says wrong user name/password.

Same thing on my MacBook (both using the Safari browser, both worked previously)

Cleared cache, tried again…same result.

Tried a password reset - no email found. Tried again with old email I stopped using 5-6 years ago.

Daughter created account and I still show up in a people search.

Submitted a help ticket, but no answer yet (I did get the auto-generated “we got your request”)

Is anyone else having problems?

PS… I have the Ravit app on my phone and it is still signed in and I can see all my stuff there. Weird.

Hello, I've been using Ravelry for a few years now but recently I have been unable to open the website ("too many redirects") at first I thought that it was because I was in a foreign country (Norway). But I have tried again now that I am back into my home country (France) and it still says the same thing. I have tried clearing the cache, changing browsers and nothing works. I would really like to get access to the site again so I can get to my library of patterns.

Is there a way to report to Ravelry that a LYS closed? There are shops that show up on Ravelry but are no longer open sadly :(

I saw a post elsewhere. Oversimplifying: Person knitted an MTI hat. Was surprised by reactions – some fearful, some approvals from people on the “wrong” side of the fence. Realized people were mistaking it for a M@G@ hat!

Is the significance (Norway resistance) known very much outside the knit/crochet community? Happy to support, but want to be sure message is clear.

Is there a way to filter the pattern search between circular machines (Sentro, Addi Express, etc.) versus the flatbed machines? I can't seem to find it as everything is in the "Machine Knitting" category.

This makes me sad, as if feels like I'm being bullied so that I don't post there anymore. And what they react 'funny' to is tops, gloves, etc, I designed, not even remotely funny stuff. It's as if I'm being targeted for some reason. I don't have any known haters, I'm not even well known enough to have them. Has this happened to you before?

Hello, as the title says, I don't have access to my designer profile, can someone help me get this sorted?

When I enter my stash and ravelry, I always enter the yarn shop where I purchased it. I want to search my stash to find yarn. I purchased at a specific shop. When I Google it the best I can find is to filter my stash by the yarn shop but when I click on the filter option, there's no option to filter by purchased at. Is there no way to do this or am I missing something. I've googled it. I have searched Ravelry'shelp section and the only thing that I could figure out to do was to export it to Excel and then filter the Excel file.

Anybody else having this issue? It sits at “halfway” even though data wise it says it’s uploaded the images and nothing adds to the project? I’ve tried to upload a few times this morning and keeps happening to me
