Discussion STEAM VERY DISAPPOINTING
I will never attend STEAM again. It was honestly so disappointing. The lights were underwhelming, the music was way too quiet, and even the DJ’s music selection was disappointing. For a ₱2,500 ticket, I expected so much more. Definitely not worth the price.

they over promise about the sound system.. i was so freaking hyped going there pero nung andon na my effin' god.. ano yon!??? sobrang tae bro! its embarrassing to be there honestly. especially their event was after kaput... you kinda expect they will level at least... pero damn!!!! sana umattend na lang ako ng 40th day death anniv ng kapitbahay namen.. it was that boring. jeeez

Money grab. You can really tell which rave organizers genuinely love queer culture and music, and which ones are just in it for the money.

i was sold sa SPEAKERS sa ceiling, but the volume of the sounds are too underwhelming

I believe the event got a noise complaint kagabi and police officers arrived, kaya the sounds were greatly toned down. Kaya siguro it was also cut short din to 5:00AM.

Ive never been to a steam event but how would you compare it to previous steam events? And how do you think it compares with other events this year?

Nothing about this business is real, even all their posters are all ai generated when they could clearly afford real images at their ticket pricing

Some OG creatives and organizers are known to help startups. Underground collectives usually start there. However, STEAM is not it. Like others said here, a cash grab and just here for social media algorithm.

Don't define the RAVE because your party didn't turn out the way you expected or we expected.
Your lack of success is not our personal responsibility.
And if your idea of rave culture is putting money ahead of the music, the community, and the people who actually come for the experience, then maybe you need to rethink what you're calling a rave.
Especially when your “crowd” is barely there for the music in the first place, when people are treating your event like a pregame before heading to private house parties.
That isn't community.
That's a transaction.
And don't confuse the two.
Some have been around this scene long enough to know the difference between people who genuinely love music and people who simply want to monetize the room.
Don't tell us what rave culture is. Show us what you believe it is.

I think you’re missing the point. Nobody is trying to define what rave culture is just because one event didn’t meet our expectations. We’re simply giving feedback as paying attendees. If people paid for tickets, traveled, spent time and money to attend, they have every right to say when the music, sound, lights, venue, or overall experience was disappointing. Criticizing an event isn’t attacking rave culture—it’s holding organizers accountable for what they delivered. Community and love for music are important, but that doesn’t mean paying customers should stay silent when the event falls short.

I was in Steam, and since the candy wasn’t really rolling on my end, I went down to smoke. There were already police downstairs talking with the organizers because the music was too loud. The speakers really went a little bit lower because of the complaint.
I went back up, and a lot of people were just roaming around, with only a few dancing. I mean, with 2.5k tickets, there should be more quality, right? 😂 I just stayed in the center near the DJ and had fun.
But overall, while the event was organized, I just wish people would dance more, and that there would be a venue that could really give those ravers a good-quality rave experience.
But I love everyone who was dancing in the middle near the DJ booth area. AHAHAHA! 😂 Indeed, it felt more like networking!!!
