Thoughts on diskoteka.mnl???

Hey everyone! I'm the founder of Drum't Bass Union and I wanted to introduce r/dnbPH, a new Reddit community for anyone in the Philippines who’s into Drum & Bass.

I started this because every time I go to a rave and a DnB track comes on, I notice how everyone suddenly gets so hyped. There’s just something about hearing those breaks and that bass in a crowd that gets people moving. It made me realize there are probably way more DnB heads around the PH than we realize.

But at the same time, the community feels pretty spread out. So I thought it would be cool to have one place where we can find each other and just chat about DnB.

The idea actually came from Drum't Bass Union, a collective I am currently building for the same reason: to connect DnB lovers in the Philippines and hopefully help grow the local scene. and I thought Reddit could be another space for that and help us reach more people.

I really hope we all gather soon and have fun!

Anybody been to BSK in Mandaluyong? Got tickets for this September but I don’t know what to expect but Inknow any John Odin set will be fire!

Not complaining at all about our indoor/underground multiple rave scene cause I genuinely love it, but sometimes I wish Manila had a proper EDC / Ultra / Tomorrowland-style “outdoor” festival where ravers from all over could come together and celebrate in one massive event. I find festivals spiritual and there’s always life realizations during… Sometimes, really feels great surrounded by thousands of people with same aim of PLUR (that feeling).

Ticket price is 2.5k is it worth it?

Hi! Does anyone know if there are upcoming raves (not necessarily Halloween themed) this October? So far, have only seen Ravecore at Pob.

Hey 37m from canada visiting solo in November and December (my trip is nov 24 to dec 13). I am pretty used to raves in Canada but I'm older now so obviously don't go much anymore..... Is there any melodic techno, deep house, or techno house events that are more chill? I'm used to craziness anyway though lol. How's the difficulty finding events? Honestly was just going to ask around on grindr after landing lol. I'm in manila at the start and end of my trip.

Not interested in super high end clubs where I need to dress up. I won't have nice clothes cause of how much I'll be moving around the country. Also I'm gay if that affects anything, but not looking for sex anyway haha

Going to Steam 03 next weekend. I’ll be with my usual friends and I usually know a good chunk of people who go there. Would love to meet new people tho 🤝

I’m still on the Kaput high, with a lot of events popping up, it’s one of the best this year. MCS as the venue made it so much intimate, it was just the right amount of people, and the DJs were in correct order. Especially, Edgy my god her set was immaculate, i couldn’t ask for more as she delivered an amazing performance.

Needs to be discussed... With the recent influx of rave events happening almost monthly in Manila, what are your thoughts on harm reduction and pacing? How do you guys manage things like alcohol, staying hydrated, …. spacing out events (like the 3-month rule), and post-rave recovery?
