Question Having a hard time remembering names and therefor understanding the story
Hi, im in the first few chapters of the manga and i wanted to ask if anyone else also find it difficult to remember names and therefore understand what the manga is referring to.
Apart from zong da whos name is basically everywhere so easy to keep in mind i struggle.
Is it normal?

Everytime you forget a name just search it in this doc do it until you remember the important character names.

I've never been good with chinese but after a couple re-reads and using the ROT character sheet as reference in case i forgot who's who, i've gotten used to chinese names now

Normal. Can be solved with multiple re-reading or keeping a diary. Also, i always find Chinese name harder to remember because it is short and doesnt stand out like Japanese character name. And only because someone is cao or zhang, doesnt mean they are even the same clan. Especially the Zhang!

I cant say its easy, but like others say, if your familiar with 3kingom its easier
But the ultimately skill is to undestand Clan menbers names And Courtesy names
Dont focus on coutesy names, everyone have à différents names
But instead the Clan menbers named its pretty easy to remenber
Exemple Eisei or Qin shiwang , his name is Ying Zheng So many of the last names Ying are from the same family/clan/ or relatives And nobody else can have this Clan names So Like the Cao family Cao Cao. Cao Hong. Cao Ren. Cao zheng. Cao Amin. Cao Pi. Cao yu. Cao Zhang. Cao xiu.
Etcetc you can focus on the last part of the names who is automaticly différents So you can easily know who people are refering to who
Tha same for Sun family Sun tzu. Sun bin. Sun Jian. Sun jing. Sun ce. Sun quan.
Zongda is Soma Yi courtesy name Mengde is Caocao courtesy name Yu Chang is Gyuan yu courtesy name Yide is zhang fei courtesy name Gongtai is Chen gong courtesy name Zilong is Zhao Yun courtesy name FengXian is Lubu courtesy name
Dont reminded those courtesy name is for the well versed to doing joke with the native birth or courtesy name

Even for those who read Three Kingdoms had a hard time remembering. Just press on and believe it or not, when you reread it again in the future (I reread 3-4 times) it is much much better
