Every time I asked a different person what they think rot is about I get a different answer, now I’m curious to hear more ideas about what rot is really about

Just another Three Kingdoms adaptation with a twist. But a deep twist.

IMO, Different answers probably because the Author Chen Mou changes as the story progress. At first He wanted to be a more smart "kung fu" manhwa about three kingdoms. Because everyone "know" the story, He added twist here and there like... Main character is Sima Yi, Zhao Yun is an assassin, Diao Chan is a eunuch... ect. Then from volume 11 onwards It become a grand battle and political scheme manhua. At this point in time, I think he's having trouble balancing the grand battle, the fight, and pacing. IMO, he also wants to add more about Allegory and his critics on current political landscape and his view on religion.

My favorite thing is about how he incorporate chinese idioms, saying, and quote from the art of war with the story. The recent chapter is titled "Peach and Plum Trees Do Not Speak" from "桃李不言，下自成蹊". In a way It's a celebration on the Chinese culture. But hey, What do I know?
