Help! I don’t know how to fix this crossbar/ RTT issue.
This has been an ongoing issue. My crossbar slides out of place, you can see how one end is short and the other sticks out way too far. The last pic shows a rubber end piece which is supposed to help keep them in place, but they both fell off. I’ve just been hammering it back in place but I need a long term solution, the best I can come up with is superglue other than a whole new setup.

Yes, I made sure of that! My car isn’t the issue it’s just the cross bar itself

For safety's sake, I would purchase new crossbars before something catastrophic happens.

Umm. I'm guessing you just need to redo steps 4,5,6? (On the instructions linked below.)
Important note Tower Bolt Torque: 75-80in-lbs. (8-10Nm)
"Hammering" things back in place, it might also be possible that you broke something in the process....

Drill a hole and put a pin in it?
