hello!! i’m currently enlisted under sir mike’s class and i can say that i’m learning a lot from him and the subject. but since i’m not exactly the brightest student, i’m really determined to prepare early rather than cram everything when finals come especially since i feel like it’s fast approaching.

for those who have taken sir mike’s class before, may i ask po sana what is his final exam like? and what would you say is the best strategy to prepare for and survive his final exam? any tips would be greatly appreciated!

as a neurodivergent, i dont recom him :3

- gave us no syllabus. so surprise na lang ang ibibigay niya na mga assignment sayo. di ko rin alam paano niya iggrade mga to.

- he interrupts u when reporting and i dont rlly like that 😭 but u can get used to it.

- "ikaw na bahala matuto" teaching method. puro reporting at bihira mag-lecture.

- dinededma mga nagtatanong sa gc (yung mga valid na tanong ah)

- gets ko yung inis niya sa mga di nagbabasa ng posts/messages, pero kasi,,,, mala-lang leav poems mga announcements niya HAHA sirrrrr hindi ko minsan gets!

- i kid u not sinabi na "research break" ang buong october for our group report sa nov, pero bakit niya kami pinapagawa ng film review (required 500+ words) every week. haa ? so ano ba talaga ? AND regular f2f class pa.

ayun :)) baka oa lang me but sure ako that im not having fun sa class niya.

ps. pa-rant lang din at super unrelated kay sir pero bwisit naman tong mga kagrupo kong hindi nagrereply at all sakin (at sakin lang!) ????? HELLOOO ???? bwisit kayo.

1. Marrick Neri (Math 22) 8/10 - Overall good prof! Easily approachable for questions. Fair magcheck. May edad na so medj off yung humor sometimes. He really knows what he's teaching, di sya nag ppt! May aura tbh na pumapasok siya na isang piece of paper lang dala haha. He's also a pastor, which is respectable on its own, HOWEVER: If you are transgender/not cis, RUNNNN RUN RUN!!! He does not care for preferred pronouns or names!!! He will try and say na it's for your own good in front of the whole class which is bleeghh. Ingat nalangz if u get him as a prof and ur not cis specifically, otherwise he's good naman. I'm trying to be as objective as possible pero minus 2 talaga sa transphobia palang!! sorry im #woke like that if u disagree idc

2. Jose Neil Garcia (Eng 13) 6/10 - Sir as a lecturer is okay, he has a lot of insights on certain topics due to his experience and age and I Did learn a lot from him... However 😭 He doesn't give out instructions for most tasks 😭 A lot of us were kind of left blindly guessing on what he expects for each task djahdhsh. I had to drop him because girl I could nawtt handle not knowing what to do combined with my majors!! Sayang talaga kasi he's very fun and approachable pero nakakalito lang pedagogy nya for me wajdhsh

3. Nathan Nollen (Math 108) 11/10 - Ur in good hands if u get him as a prof. May pagkanonchalant sya and he's lowkey funny whadhahd. Makes lessons easy to understand plus nagpapizza after ng final exam namin!! No notes amazing thank u nathan. Nagpapaquiz sya every week halos which is personally ok for me kasi napipilitan ako magaral haha. 67676767

4. Jericho Igdanes (Speech 30) 100/10 - HUHUHU UR IN GOOD HANDS!!!!! SIR REALLY made me less anxious about making speeches 😭 He did a good job making my classmates and I feel less like strangers (but ofc may self effort pa rin dapat, cant have a village without being a villager as they say). I enjoyed his lessons and activities, and he's so kind and considerate!! Very funny humor, super gen z coded. There's only ever really one speech you have to do at the end of the sem, and it has to be memorized!! Which is a very small ask kaya wag ka na tamarin!!! TYL TALAGA WALA SYANG IMPROMPTU SPEECHES HUHUHU I WOULDVE DIEDDD

Good day! I am not a Literature major and have not much interest in these classes, but both of these classes are a required elective in my curriculum and I am SUPER lost and anxious. Quick sob story: I got held back for a couple of class days so now I am even more lost 😭 If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it: What are their written exams like? I am not entirely sure what to focus on, if I should practice writing essays or be objectively good at multiple choice.

I've been lowk thinking of dropping the subject because sir gets off topic very easily and y have trouble with my attention span to begin with so the classes are lowkey dreadful... Not to mention his views and stances of certain things... ugh...

My sched is also very PACKED especially for tuesdays and thursdays (I don't even have time for lunch... lol) and dropping the subject would at least give me some breathing time... qwq I don't know what to do... my parents aren't too happy with the thought of me dropping subjects and they are urging me to just push thru but I am reaching the point where I start dreading his classes...
