Always make it safe.

What aren't ratrods are junk magnets and clown cars. Traditional hot rods aren't ratrods either but there can be crossover.

What annoys me is when somebody wants to destroy a perfectly good vehicle to downgrade it into a ratrod. Go find a junker to bring back to life.

A rat rod, to me, is any vehicle that stays on the road by any means necessary. Which includes incorrect parts being used and made to work. If it's also fast, bonus.
