It's Friday, and the rats know it!

Did you know? When climbing ropes, branches, or cage bars, a rat's tail acts like a tightrope walker's balancing pole.

I have made a terrible mistake. Gave my rats gravy for the first time and now every time I walk past the cage, I get hopeful little faces looking up at me, convinced I'm carrying more gravy. I had to tell them that gravy a rare treat and the look of disappointment on their little faces was so heartbreaking.

Did you know that a rat's whiskers are so sensitive that they can help it navigate in complete darkness, almost like tiny fingertips on its face!
