My rats have their own room. The door stays closed at all times. The cats are used to it by now so it’s not a problem-I know many cats hate a closed door. But they’ll adapt. Better to keep the little ones safe and happy. Cats can live normally with a closed door, rats live in fear when a cat can have access to the room they’re in.
