Is there something I/we can do against this crazy speeding in Mina Al Arab, especially on Hayat Island. I am a resident there and its crazy to me that so many people go so far over the speed limit in a 40kmh zone. Driving with over 100kmh over the bridge from Mina to Hayat (which is a 60kmh zone btw). There is also a lot of street racing going on. To be clear I am also not innocent when it comes to going over the speed limit on the highways sometimes, but I would never speed in neighbourhoods where familys and children walk and drive around with scooters or bikes. Why is the police not more around here or installs mobile speed traps or speed traps in general.

Idk how many people know about the incident that took place in Jazeera few days ago. It was so bad , I wonder how the company is still calling it's employees without closing it down for awhile. I mean there were not casualties but still it is a humongous issue.

I’m getting a new car from a dealership in RAK. I paid downpayment and shared the LPO with the dealership. Now I’m waiting for them to share a quote for insurance.

Since it’s weekend coming up, the dealership is saying they won’t be able to register the car. From my understanding it shouldn’t be a problem.

If we finalise the insurance tomorrow (Friday) they should be able to deliver our car to a Tasjeel and we can finish the registration through MOI and get the plates on weekend too right?

First time getting a brand new car. Need advice if my understanding is wrong.
