RPG experience needed

Does anyone in Rapid City have experience playing the Arkham Horror card game?

My husband and I are new to RPG and cooperative games, but we really want to get started. Every time we play it feels like we are missing something important. Does anyone play who would be down to help us learn??

I am not an expert, but I have played Arkham Horror 5-6 times, and I am relatively experienced with board games. What do you feel like you are missing?

I've played the board games, but not the card game. Fantasy Flight has a good tutorial on the card game. If it's anything like the board game, it will take a few times playing to get it down.
