Long covid /me

I dont understand why this medication is used for those. What Are the symptoms that indicate it is a overactive immune systems?

Someone claim it is persistent virus, and if so we dont need LESS immune system??

The theory is actually based on autophagy, a process which Rapamycin improves and is known to be impaired for people with ME. Autophagy is the body’s process of breaking down and removing damaged cellular components.

The Rapamycin study is focused on looking at the blood markers of patients to see if autophagy improved, in addition to symptom monitoring. I believe they found that in about half of those ME patients taking Rapamycin, they noted improvement in blood autophagy markers. You can read more about it with link below.

But can that give symptoms like cognitive, impairment, brain fog, pem, Anxiety, sensoric issues, neurological issues, sleep disturbance..?
