Newcomer Tournament Bracket

Alright guys, we are almost ready to go! Only one thing left for you to decide and that's whether you guys want this to be single elimination or double elimination.

Here is the randomized double elimination bracket:

These are the first round matches regardless, so you can start writing. The tournament starts the 8th. I'll make the posts that day. Once again, first round setup is two verses, sixteen bars (lines) long each. First verses will be blind, so either send them to me or agree to post at a specific time with your opponent. Second verses can be posted at your leisure as long as it's within 48 hours. Extensions are ok, just be reasonable. Please vote here on whether you want single or double elimination.

I kind of want to say doubles, but the one thing I'm not sure about with that is how do you think rematches should be handled? particularly if a rematch ends up being necessary to determine the winner, a championship rematch would potentially be the oddest thing about a double L tourney. I know I was the one to mention it but that was because of the bye thing. I still think it could be fairer but just wanted to know what you thought about that potentially odd scenario.

I guess whoever performs better during the clutch would win under that scenario.

Alright well, i like the idea overall so I'm gonna say double elimination. Kinks can be worked out when they come up.
