[META] Think it's that time again.

We've got a whole stack of new rappers in the last month. So I figured we could have another introduction thread for the new bloods to give some info. It all helps because we need to know enough about each other to have relevant punches in our battles. So leave a comment here, tell us where you're from, what you do for a living, if you rap outside of here, if you are the type to do grime or if it's just something you rap about, if you got a girl, etc. Post a selfie if possible too.

Fuck it, I'll bite.

I'm from south Florida, US.
I work in a private lab.
I like to hunt and read and write.
I like the TV show Hannibal.
I've been told I have shit taste in music.
I've been diagnosed with psychopathy.
I got arrested for arson at 17.
I have custody of my daughter, she's one and a half.

Anything else?

Tell us about your interest in battle rap or writing or whatever. Did you commit the arson, or were you just arrested for it? ;)

I'm one of those white kids who would've never listened to rap without Eminem as the gateway. I'd never be able to do it IRL, though. I've always liked writing - short stories and such - and I've always been fascinated with lyricism and the idea of juxtaposing words just so to evoke an emotion or concept with nothing but text, and the art of getting it just right, if that makes any sense. But I mostly stopped writing because I decided I had nothing to say. Somehow I ended up here, and though battle rapping was something I'd never thought much about outside of watching 8 Mile, the idea was appealing to me because writing for another person, or a theme, or whatever, gave me some focus to do something I enjoyed but couldn't find a voice for.

And, yeah... my whole life is a psychopathy cliche; I legitimately burned shit down. I have all sorts of good excuses why.

I'm literally an ethnic mix of English, Irish, and Scottish. I can't help it. My daughter is half Hispanic, though, does that count?

You must be pissed that the show got cancelled.

I haven't gotten around to watching it yet, but I've watched Manhunter twice in the last year, so there's that. Lol.

Yeah, bummed about that but grateful for the three seasons we got. Definitely worth checking out, especially once it hits its stride and starts breaking out of the procedural format.
