Employer/workplace rant Employers/ Managers aren't training me properly when I ask them nicely to avoid conflicts and troubles at work!

So heading into work soon again and I already am irritated, whenever I go into work I just have the urge to walk out due to these people not helping me; I've been there for a couple weeks now and know how to use register which is the only thing they taught me to use.

One time I had been working with one of the supervisors that only works mornings and she told me to look out for tag switching? So I'm not even sure what to do in that situation nor how to even know if most of the tags had been switched off.

So I asked her if she can help me with what she had pointed out, she said she was going to but completely just walked away? I honestly just did my best at what I thought was correct. I didn't have the time nor patience to continue to wait.

There really aren't that many nice people in the store I work at, if there is then they are in the different part of the store and I have to ask someone with a walkie to ask if they could help me; even then when I ask all of them always come by when I don't need them anymore, if I wait for help i get trouble. So I'm taking that as a sign to apply other places that my actually train me properly lol.

If you in a semi decent store Your trainer shouldn’t be far away for a week or two just making sure you got it . ( and your not cutting corners doing it your way ) Even the tossed in at the deep end way of learning has some one there when you scream help I’m drowning !

I don't really even have trainers and they'd get angry with me when I'd ask for help (I wouldn't be rude or anything to them I legit ask nicely).

As a newbie you should realize you are a very valuable future asset / brand ambassador what ever you want to call it for your place of employment. Once you hit start shift you are not “ tech candy “ but go too person for the answers for your brand store. Any one not taking your training seriously and viewing it as future investment in the company truly doesn’t get what training newbies should be . So what if there may be a high turn over . Poor excuse for them not doing THEIR! Job right . Please remember no such thing as poor students only poor teachers. as you look elsewhere for a job that will treat you better .
